We only did one meal at Palo

it was WONDERFUL!

Marco was our server, some of our DISfriends had eaten at Palo before it was our turn and requested Marco specifically.

He'll pretty much give you a taste of EVERYTHING off the menu including every dessert. We only had to order what meat we wanted in our main course. Their Pizza's are even to die for. The desserts, including the chocolate souffle were especially awesome. Our Cali friends brought the wine with them & Marco gave us Lemon drops shots to wash the whole meal down with afterwards...the kicker? All that for $10 per person :teeth: I think all of us doubled that when we paid the bill the meal was that good. It was beyond worth $20 per person.

Here's mine in order:

1. Being alone with DH
2. Eating in Palo alone with DH (this one is tied with eating my soufle -- all for me! get your spoon out of my soufle! :rotfl2: )
3. Seeing an almost first run movie (not rated "G") with DH popcorn::

I could go on and on.... counting down :hourglass

I know exactly what you mean Jennifer, hubby & I had a bit of 'us' time when we were in WDW and it was lovely. I'm looking forward to both the girls being in the Teen Club this time, so hopefully Paul & I may even get to a night club :rotfl:

Colleen ~ We are the same, we will probably get off for some photos at Nassau, but other than that we love it when everyone leaves and we're left with a quiet ship. We're usually one of the first off the ship at Castaway Cay as we love it so much.

We've never tried Palo, we do enjoy the different restaurants and menus, so we've never thought about going there, maybe if we're lucky enough to do a 7 night cruise (better check those lottery numbers ~ LOL) we'll get there

Guys, what are you looking forward to the most ?? Name 3 things. That should be quite hard as there are so many things to look forward to.

3 things :scratchin You are right, that is hard but in no specific order here's what comes to mind first:

1) Boarding/Sailaway party ( :goodvibes )
2) The look on our faces when we all finally meet ( :goodvibes )
3) The first time we spot the ship( :goodvibes )

I had a dream last night that I was the only one in my family who didn't pack for the cruise! I cried soo hard and I had prepared everyone else so well (even mom & dad had an over the door shoe holder in their room). I looked out the porthole and saw crab pot buoys floating by, :confused3 ! Then I finally recognized where we left port... the boat ramp in a town 2 miles from where I live :rotfl2:

This is what happens when you take Tylenol PM!! :rotfl:

For me,

1)Being alone with DH.

2)Getting away from ALL other responsabilties :woohoo:

3)Finally meeting everyone! :grouphug:

Kelly ~ LOL, about a month or so before my holiday, I usually start waking up around 4.30am thinking that I have to put something on my 'to get' list

Betsy ~ Thanks for all your lovely comments on my trip reports, I'm finding them quite hard work now, and I just want them out the way. I'm off to read your other thread now about brunch

Thanks to those of you that have read my trip reports, I've added

day 9 http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1210973 and

day 10 http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1211033

I've been trying to find photos of Aloft to show Chad what it looks like! It's almost like it's so secretive for teens that you can't see it :confused3

I am soo nervous letting him go off to teen places...

I need a good smack in the head! I'd almost pay for him to bring along a buddy to tagalong with, he's the oldest of all of his cousins!

Where's my nerve pills?

Kelly - Kerry was 13 when she first went to the Teen Club and she had a fab time. She is quite shy at first and the Teen Club Counsellers (?sp) were brilliant. She was always the last one back to the room, not mega-late but usually around midnight (where as we were fit to drop around 11ish -LOL).

It'll be great if more Teens (or their families) reply to this thread so that they all have time to get to know each other before the cruise

Mandy :)

p.s. thanks for your lovely comments on my TR's

You're very welcome!!

It would be nice about the kids introducing themselves! I read on one site that the cruise kids did a penpal thing! Chad is thinking about MSN so he could chitchat with your girls and get to know them. He's kinda shy at first as well but once you get to know him, he's very talkative!

I think this is going to be a party cruise for everyone :thumbsup2

Wow! I guess I'll need to take off the following week when we get home to relax some!!

Morning all! Nice rainy day here! :teeth: We need it! :thumbsup2 Just hoping the storm keeps off the coast and goes inland to die off!!

Yup!...We are all linked together..... :thumbsup2 I check every time I call, to make sure... ;)
Happy Tuesday everyone.....Its still raining here...Hope it stops ...I have a family reunion to go to this weekend.....So a little P and PD would help!

Oh and I recieved my cruise packet...Not much in it I didnt already know, but it was fun to get ANYTHING from the DCL! :cheer2:
You asked for it!

Okay, now I not so jealous! I pulled a Wendy (sorry girl :teeth: !) and opened up my sis's cruise mail. It was just a travel kit from DCL, but I still am a little green with envy... afterall she did receive something from Disney :guilty:

I'm honored, it's like I have this sneaky move named after me! I'm not known for being sneaky, heck, it's honesty all the way with me, and if you ask me a direct question that I cant answer or don't want to, I just respond with a nod of the head. My husband would say you "Wendy'd" your sister. :rotfl2:

I was talking with a guy that works for my husband that was in high school the same time I was. It was fun having him tell someone else how he percieved me back then. He decribed me as innocent and well mannered and hung out with the smart kids!!!! :joker: I loved high school, I participated in oodles of extra curricular activities so I was busy all the time, I didn't consider my friends the smart kids, nor would I have considered myself quiet and well-mannered or even innocent! :rotfl: I had to admit that while I remember hearing about this guy in school, I had no opinion, I don't really remember him, I must have been too busy to pay attention,....that sounds kind of bad, but it is true. :teacher:

If you need smackin' you gotta go see DISUNC on the TK'ers thread. I'm pretty sure he's the official in this department!! :rotfl2:
