You know, I would have to chuckle as well! I've not been careful enuff, I've posted on other threads things like whatchamajigger and other stupid things... I need to be careful

How are things up your way? We had a "tropical system" pass thru our area last night. I did not sleep well, it sounded like the winds were gonna blow us away at sometimes. Thus I am dragging this morning.

I need some caffeine!

The weather is nearly perfect here today. It's and there's a wonderful breeze,.....must mean there is a thunderstorm on the way!

Maybe I'll go out and finally plant the sunflowers.....MAYBE!!!

I got Randalls results from the sylvan assessment tests. I only had the reading test done. They actually did a few tests and got consistent results. His reading is quite good. He's almost 8 and headed to 4th grade and tested at 5-6th grade for accuracy, rate, and vocabulary, but comprehension......not even up to 2nd grade. They break everything down so he'll learn story structure and synonyms and antomyns and I can't even list everything, but it was quite impressive. He'll learn to make predictions and stuff, I really think if they accomplish half what they claim they will, Randall will be sitting pretty,...or handsomely . He had his first actual class yesturday and Cora did her reading assessment. DH and discussed that if this works well, we would be tempted to send the kids every summer. Our school system is lacking in the wonderful, patient, attentive teacher department. There are some, 2nd grade, and 5th grade, but that's it, the others are seem to be waiting for retirement, and many are very close!! While it'll be expensive to send them to sylvan often, is it really possible to put a $ on your kids future, especially when your taking about the basics!! What they learn now will so affect their jr high and high school years. And I need my kids to do well, go on to college, get degrees in medical fields.(Cora's gonna be a pediatrician, Kayla a nurse and Randall....I've convinced him to be an anestesiologist-sp?-) That way they can take care of me in about 30-40 yrs!!

Wouldn't it be nice if all our children did so well that they could keep us cruising thru the years

We've had some rain, big downpours yesterday and also tonight. But it's also been quite warm and sunny out in between the rain.

I'm not complaining too much.

Went to my first night of summer dance classes. I take these with a different teacher than I have during the rest of the year. It's kind of nice to have a change of style and also I've known this girl for many many years and she only runs her studio as a summer job.

It was a good class.
