What time was Paul flying out today Mandy?

I'm afraid the temperature is nothing like it was when he flew in :cold:

Morning all! I think this is the first time I've said that in a while!:goodvibes

Mandymouse said:
Did the family who were dressed up, jump out at them, to frighten them on their hayride ?

They did! And they sometimes scared me as well since I had to sit on the back of CW's atv facing backwards... I couldn't see what was getting ready to happen:rotfl:

Robin - you're getting close to cruise time! Getting excited?

Mandy - you've only got a few days til your shop and meet! Are you going to take pics? I remember you mentioning some dis names that you will be meeting. It'll be cool putting a face to the disname:thumbsup2

He's leaving Detroit at 10.25pm Robin

Yes our Dis Girly 'Meet' begins on Friday. Natalie and Joh are driving here, then Paul is taking us to Birmingham to pick Kaylee up at the Train Station, and then he's dropping us all off at the hotel

That evening were booked into an Italian restaurant for a meal. Then on Saturday morning we are meeting up with another dozen or so girls. We're going to do some shopping and then going to a pizza place for lunch. After more shopping we're booked into a Spanish-style restaurant for our evening meal

Kerry & Becky are used to Paul going off to different places with work - but they keep saying that I'm abandoning them :rotfl2: :rotfl2: This is the first time I've been away for the weekend, but I think they're trying to make me feel guilty so that I'll buy them a big present - well they can FORGET IT !!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I've been trying on my clothes today and I've started packing, and although I do know a couple of the girls I'm going with, I still feel a bit nervous - though I'm sure we'll have a great time :thumbsup2

I promise to take lots of photos too

Mandy :)

Mandy I understand what you are saying about the girls and Mom abandoning them.

My kids are also used to dad coming and going but they don't like it when I go away.

It's not like they aren't over 20 years old and can certainly take care of themselves;)

I'm sure you will be fine meeting all of the new people. I know that I would be a bit nervous too:thumbsup2

Enjoy your girly weekend, sounds like fun.

Kelly, yes I am getting excited about my disney cruise coming up :cool1:

I have started reading some Trip reports and it is making me all excited about going again. :woohoo:

Is it 90 days out that you can book Palo and excursions Robin ? Will you be making any bookings ? What category and deck have you booked - I'm feeling so excited for you. Will you be staying at WDW too ?

Mandy :)

Morning Mandy.

Did Paul make it home yet??

I think it's 90 days out that you can book those things but I'm not sure.

We are going to book Palo brunch but that is all so far.

I don't know if we will do any excursions:confused3 We may just wait and see.

We have booked a Category 11 sideways cabin on deck 6, Cabin 6015. We like the sideways cabins but we will always be open to an upgrade:thumbsup2

Our before or after plans have not been decided at this time. I have no idea what we will be doing.

Rick is actually thinking of bringing his airplane and flying at a competition in Florida the weekend before the cruise. Don't know if that will actually happen or not.

We would have to drive down to do that because of course we would need to bring that huge airplane along.

I wonder where we would fit the luggage in

Hey Robin - yes Paul landed at London Heathrow about an hour ago, it'll take him about 2 hours to get back to work and then hopefully he'll be home around tea-time

Wow, that will be a journey and a half if you take Rick's plane down to Florida. Years ago, I went to stay with my aunt & uncle who lived in Scarborough, Nr, Toronto and they took me on holiday to Daytona Beach, and we went down on the coach. It took about a day and a half to get there with various stops along the way

I'm jealous just reading that you're planning on having Brunch at Palo, I loved doing that and it is one thing that is sorely missed from a 3 night Cruise

Anyway your plans sound great :thumbsup2

Mandy :)

Morning girls,
Kelly,
GREAT pics...It makes me miss Assateague ...
We use to camp there all the time.....right on the beach.....Loved the horses....except when they got into the screened tent and got caught up in the guy lines of our tents....But worth it to just have them hang around....
and the sunrises were awsome...Boy I want to go back:goodvibes ...Maybe next summer...;)
I remember that there was a great pizza place right outside of OC....

WEll its my Thurs. SO Im on the run.....:teleport:

Glad Paul got home alright......:thumbsup2

Robin,
I just loved Palo....It was so much fun having that brunch with you and Rick....I mentioned the Alaskan cruise to MIke....He is being very noncommital:rolleyes:...So.. We will just have to wait and see...:confused3

Well I better to get my Mom moving....
Have a good day ya'll
TTFN

I hope you have a lovely day Betsy :thumbsup2

Well Paul is now home (and fast asleep on the sofa :rotfl2: ). He had a good time and came home armed with presents. The girls got a Hollister jacket and t-shirt each and they were very happy :)

As for me, he bought me a big bottle of J-Lo perfume (as I've got a mini handbag size bottle - and I love it) and he also got me a lovely necklace

So we all did very well. He also got himself a couple of t-shirts from Hollister

Now I've got a suitcase full of washing that I want to get out of the way before I go off to my Girly Dis weekend away tomorrow

Enjoy the rest of the day girls

Mandy :)

Mandy, if we were to get into the car and drive straight down to WDW from home without ANY stops of any kind it would take us about 18 hours (give or take an hour or 2 for traffic conditions).

Mandy, I thought of your girls yesterday. I was walking thru our local Walmart and saw a display of Little Miss hoodie sweatshirts:thumbsup2

Lots of time to work on Mike for the Alaskan cruise Betsy. Just start dropping little hints every now and again:thumbsup2

There is no guarantee that the ship is even going there. We will just have to wait and see.

Morning girls,

:lmao: Some of them are definately not shy!! We had one stick his head right in our car:scared1: If you decide to come down for the summer, let me know... we may pop a tent up next to ya!;)

Robin... if you decide to drive... that means you'll be going thru Virginia, right? I would be willing to ride out towards 95 (it's only 3 hrs. from here) if you decided to take that interstate down towards Florida.

Mandy... Moms are the ones always getting the guilt trip, it just shows how much we are loved:goodvibes Tell Paul that we are all glad he made it home safely!! I remember chatting with Natalie (I think she has Cinderella in her avatar or siggie) and Kaylee (I think her avatar is a cat) not sure about Joh. Natalie and Kaylee seem so sweet! Have fun and take plenty of pics:wizard:

I found out some interesting news today... we are flying out to Seattle, WA next month! I'm kind of nervous, but it sounds like fun. It'll be DD, DM, CW & myself. Dad & CW have a meeting... so mom has asked me to go and do some shopping and sightseeing.

Hey Kelly, a trip to Washington, neat:thumbsup2

I've never been there before, sounds like fun.

If we were to drive down we would most likely be taking the I-75 route thru Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and then to Florida.:car:

Hi Robin!

I keep thinking you are closer to New York area for some reason... I didn't get a good grade in geography:rotfl2:

I forgot to tell you guys,

When I went got dropped off at work this morning by the Honda Dealer guy (took the van in for service), this was parked in our parking lot.

(car on top left, dark coloured, click on year 2006 for a bigger picture.)

The guy dropping me off was quite impressed when he saw it.

I wonder what he would think if he knew that car is worth 8 MILLION dollars :scared1: :faint:

Rick went out for a ride in it :cool1:

Yes, they are actually driving that car around the streets of our town

We made some parts that are on that car.:thumbsup2

I'm wondering, what must it be like to buy and own 8 million dollar cars:confused3 It is the only one like it left in the world.

It's something that I just cannot wrap my brain around;)

Hi Robin!

I keep thinking you are closer to New York area for some reason... I didn't get a good grade in geography:rotfl2:

Nope I am further into the middle of the country.

Right close to Detroit, Michigan.

I was waaay off!:lmao:

8 million...:faint: The car is beautiful!!! I would have loved to have driven that... I would be sweating bullets though. Tell Rick he's a lucky man!;)

I better log off for the night! Got laundry and some kids bugging me to get on the computer!

Have a great evening!!!

I know what you mean, I didn't even TOUCH the car, just admired it from afar:rotfl2:

Enjoy your laundry Kelly;)

Talk to you later.

Morning Girls

Wow Robin - what a cool car, Rick is very lucky to have driven in it :thumbsup2

Kelly - how nice to be able to take a trip to Washington, I don't need to be asked twice to go on a shopping trip :rotfl2: Have fun

Betsy - I hope you had a nice lunch day, did you do any shopping ?

Well girls I'm off on my DIS Girly weekend away this afternoon. I'm so excited and I can't wait for a weekend of eating, drinking and shopping. I'll take lots of photos so you can see who came with us and what we got up too

What are your plans for the weekend ?

Have a great weekend girls

Mandy :)

How long will it take you to fly to Washington Kelly.

I think from Detroit it would probably be about 5 hours or so.

I'm sure that you are gone by now Mandy but I hope that you are having fun:woohoo:

Can't wait to hear all about your very first "girly" weekend.:dance3:
