The new navigators (June 2004) have kids (all the way up to the 10-12 age group) with planned activities on the 7th aft deck. Any recent cruisers know....

1) Do they close the area to other cruisers?
2) How noisy is it? (one time they have things until after 11 PM)

Thanks for any feedback!

Aloha!:wave2:

we just returned from 7 day western and stayed 7th VERY aft. It was EXTREMELY quiet and we NEVER encountered organized kids activities on 7th aft deck. We DID run into teens in the evenings who had informally organized a few 'activities' ;) of their own, but nothing noisy or outrageous.

LOVED this location!:sunny:

To Mai Ku, may I ask you what rooms you had? Next April, we have rooms 7627 and 7629. These look very aft too, they are both inside rooms. I'm so glad you liked being there. Did you find it convenient to everything on the ship?

Do the category 11 inside deck 7 aft cabin's sleep 4? Just curious.

We were in Room 7132 (Aft) on the 4/24 Western cruise and loved the area. It was indeed very quiet and convenient. Often went out to the Aft Deck 7 and took some wonderful video from there.

Only saw a handful of people there the whole cruise. No children's activities that that I saw, but maybe that's something new.

We have had 7120 and 7130 - and never heard a sound: APART from the wardrobe doors sliding back and forth! Must remember duck tape next time! Nat:Pinkbounc

Wouldn't Duct Tape leave that sticky tape type residue on the doors when it was removed?? Our doors were sliding one night when the ship was really rocking and I just stuck towels in both sides of the door track and it kept them from rolling.

Hi All!

We're assigned to inside staterooms on Deck 7, as well. I read there is a laundry room on this deck, as well. So, I'm really happy to hear about a secret deck. How exciting!

Any other info concerning the staterooms on Deck 7?

Thanks,

Debbie

Just got back and were in 7632 with a balcony. I went out to the secret deck many times during the day when I just wanted to be in the sun and read a book. I usually encountered either one other person there or no one. It was wonderful. Loved it!!!!

The kids groups were doing ghost stories out on the 7 aft deck one evening when we approached it. Yes, it was closed to other guests for that time period.

We were scheduled to be in 7134 on the 4/24 western cruise but had to cancel at the last minute. I hope the folks who got that wonderful spot had a good time. We have rescheduled for later. Hate that we missed it though but family stuff sometimes takes precedent.

We were in 7129 last year and loved it. I liked the fact that the beds (head to foot) went WITH the rocking, which means we weren't going side to side with the rocking, we were going head to foot with the rocking. Made me sleep so well!!!!
