7month Booking Success at BCV During F&W!

Yahoo! Had to come a share. Snagged a two-bedroom at BCV during the first week of F&W this morning. I'm so psyched! We're bringing family with us, and I was so hoping that I'd be able to book these rooms.

I checked yesterday, and they were all booked for the four days prior to our arrival, so I wasn't holding out much hope. Sat there this morning with my fingers on the keyboard ready to hit the button at 8:00 am. I was literally shaking, so afraid I was going to mess it up and miss out. It was extra nervy, as this trip bisects our use year, and I could only book half of it online. Had to call at 9:00 am, sat on hold for 30 minutes, to book the rest of it.

A bit stressful, but worth it!

Wow! Congratulations-I guess that means you were destined to go there for the F&W. A few years ago, we tried to book a 1 BR there at exactly 7 months out. Nada, so we wait listed. Our wait list didn't come thru until 31 days out. I just looked the other day for the week we'll be there and the 1 BRs are already gone.

Congrats!!!! I am holding my breath for the first week in November. But I need OKW which SHOULDNT be an issue the only snag might be the weekend after Halloween, its the F&W 1/2 marathon YIKESSSSSSSS

I wonder if, once you start the reservation process online, it "holds" your room while you fill out all the forms? I hit the button this morning, and it said the rooms were available, and then of course, I had to fill out the reservation form, scroll through terms, and then hit confirm. I'm not kidding when I tell I was shaking.

I realized, as I sat here this morning, that I should have come over there and done some "booking online" research. I'm sure there have to be some strategies to employ to optimize your chances.

Congrats! We managed to do this exact thing a few years ago for the same week, switched from BLT to BCV 2 bedroom right at 7 months. Tried the next 2 years and sat on the waitlists for the entire 7 months. Ended up buying a BCV resale because I hated the uncertainty.

It holds your room for twenty minutes while you fill out the forms. You can use this tactic to hold rooms for yourself while you wait on the phone for member services if your ever need them for a reservation. Even though I know the room is held, I'm nervous for every reservation too. Two days ago I had a beach club room disappear on me between the screen where you select the room you want and the next screen. Still a little bummed about that.

I also had BLT disappear on me recently. I had enough points so didn't have to cancel. I was in my 20 minute space and filled out everything then I hit the submit button, then poof it was gone and I got an error page. So I waited 20 minutes for the machine to release it. After 20 minutes of trying it came back, so I selected again and got through all the pages and filled in everything. Made it to the last page and hit submit and again, it was all gone and another error page, but this time it didn't cone back and I've been waitlsted since. I called MS, but they couldn't help me.
