We have ridden 7DMT maybe 15 times over several trips and the vast majority of times we've been put toward the front of the train. I think we've been i toward the back many 2 or 3 times. I think I read here once that odd parties are typically sent toward the front and even toward the back. Can anyone confirm that or am I mistaken?

I can’t confirm any real knowledge. But it does make sense as that way the CMs have a better view of where they need to fill space. I believe they stand at the beginning and at the end. In the middle a single is kind of lost in the crowd and that would leave a lot of empty seats going out

It does make sense. If true it's a little frustrating that they don't seem to change it up. The front is much slower down the drops so I'd much rather be toward the back.

Is that others experience? That you're an even party and you frequently end up toward the back or an odd party toward the front?

We’re always an odd party & we’re normally sent towards the front or back, sometimes the middle. It just the luck of the draw. Most of the time we seem to get the front row, which I hate because it’s too slow, so I’ll ask if we can go at the back.

We are always a party of two and I can’t think of a time we have ever been toward the front of the train. Odd. Never thought about it before

I've ridden it twice by myself and both times was in the back. Then this last time we all went on and were in the front 2 rows

Last time I was there they got ride of the odd even line and it was so much better you can always ask a CM for the back row. I am alone quite often and have been in the back most of the time

We ride with both 2 or 3 and there's no set place you are sent. We've ridden in pretty much every single cart by this point.
In my experience, where you are sent is totally depending on where you fall in the line. They fill front to back and if you are in the front of the line for the next car, you go in the front. If you are at the end of the group for the next train you go in the back. You can always request the back too, they have a holding place for just the rear.

We are usually odd and have sat everywhere since day it opened. With one line now and them loading constantly I don’t see this happening.

Roller Coaster trains are relatively inelastic and so at any time the front and back are traveling at the same speed. The average velocity and the peak velocities are the same for front so only the location of the peak velocities along the track are different for the front and back.

I think it's a shame they did away with this - it loaded much more quickly with the separated groups, and filled in every seat.

I think the opposite I
Am so glade they did this talking to manager at the ride I was not the only odd person that complained about the fact it took odd people so much longer to load then the even line. Some CM were good at it other were not one loaded 4 train with even people with out even taking one person from the odd group. The load is so much faster now then it ever was I barely ever stopped moving after the marge point

I travel with 8 - we are at the front a lot but I think that is because they send us a new direction to keep us together.

There's one thing that is different with 7DMT, the back carts rock a lot, the front ones rock barely
And whatever speed they run the only thing that matters is the perception. Front "feels" slower than the back. No matter what the actual difference is

Odd line, even line? When was this.
We've been riding since the ride opened and never were sent to 2 different lines or had any difference in how quickly we loaded once we scanned our FP. Then again, we've never ridden without a FP. Could this be someone they only did for stand by?

We’ve never ridden without a fastpass either & have always been put into the odds line. They separate you into odds & evens once you’ve tapped at the second scanner & they ask how many are in your party.

It opened with two lines once you pass the second FP+ scanner or entered the final room from SB. It impacted everyone. They ask you how many and then you were sent in either the even or odd line. Honestly you wouldn't even be aware of what they were doing unless you were paying close attention or asked/knew a CM.

Once to end of line .... Odds would be on side close to end of train, Evens would be in line close to front of train .... they would load from even knowing all seats would be filled, then they would load from odd having to match parties up to fill the seats. It only changed this year to one line .... and I guess CMs at load that could calculate quickly and pull parties forward to fill the odd seats.

I would say it might move faster for Odds as that line was always longer (and often held the FP+ line back past the scanner) and seemed a longer wait then the even line.

We never experienced any more wait time that I noticed as an odd group compared to the times we were an even group. Never saw a backup, and it appeared much more efficient. Now it seems to go out with more empty seats, or is that because they finally listened to people who didn't want to be crammed in with a stranger? Those seats are so small, you really get too much body contact with a stranger crammed in next to you. I don't mind it for most attractions, but this one is just a bit too close.
