What are the chances of getting on 7DMT during MVMCP? I wasnt able to get a fp for this at my 60 day window so, trying to make a plan. We have regular park tickets for the day so, that's not an issue and we are planning to line up to do the meet & greet with the 7Dwarfs at 4:30pm but trying to figure out if it's required to RD on this day which I originally was trying to avoid.

We waited about 50 minutes to ride it during the Halloween party this year, and that was at a lower-crowd time (during the parade).

Yikes! What day was your party? I want to look at a crowd calendar to compare to my date.

We waited nearly an hour during a MCMCP two years ago on 11/10. It was my son's birthday, so he got to pick what we did, otherwise, I would have skipped it. That was during a parade. The lines were longer at other points.

Agree with the others. The shortest I've ever seen it during a party was 30 minutes. We don't even attempt it on party nights as it takes up too much party time.

If we do 7DMT during a party, we do it in the last 30 mins or less when the line finally tends to die down. The line moves pretty quick with no FP interference and the posted time is usually inflated. 25 mins posted will really be more like 15ish, etc. Otherwise we skip.

Sounds like the best option is to wait until the end of the night. Thanks everyone!

My birthday is 11/10 too! Good date to be born. :-)

11/9:jumping3: We have several friends and relative in that time of November, including 2 or 3 on the 10th. Count back 9 months, and you can see why there are so many birthdays at that time:lovestruc

We were there December 12, 2017. Walked past the line entrance and it said 60 minute wait, but we couldn’t see anybody in line. So we walked all the way through the queue and didn’t run into a line until we got into the building almost to where you could see them loading. Waited maybe 10-15 minutes. When we came out the line was very long. Not sure how we got so lucky, but it was my birthday so I just accepted the gift!

That's awesome!

Your results may vary. Historically, at the Halloween and Xmas parties, you could hope to grab a FP before the party starts, then ride once with a 30-50 minute wait, then at the verrrrry end of the night, you might get 1-2 more rides in. Hope for people going to fireworks and bailing due to sleepy kids! We didn't have luck at our HW party this year, but we did ride it once. Wait claimed to be 45 minutes, but I don't believe it was accurate, it was longer. Don't forget about Thunder Mountain!

I went to the Halloween party Tuesday night and the wait for 7DMT was listed at 25 minutes before the first parade. I jumped in line and as I was in line, the wait behind me grew to 50 minutes (according to announcements that were made). I don't think I was in line even for 25 minutes. So, I think it is possible to find a shorter line.

When we attended MVMCP last year, we entered early to use our FP+'s. While crossing FL between our first FP+ on BTMRR and our second FP's in TL, I observed that the posted wait times for SDMT and WTP were 35 and 40 minutes respectively. I found it odd that at any time there would be a longer wait for Winnie the Pooh than SDMT.

The ride capacity for WTP is 1/2 that of 7D. There are ride capacity charts out there and if you ranked them, it would like this (in a perfect world)
There are 3 rides that boast 3000/hr capacity, but I doubt it gets that high. 7D is about 1500/hr and WTP is about half that.

One thing that would make the 7D wait seem faster would be spreading out the interactive stuff. I'll never understand whey they chose to cluster it in a way that means kids only get to touch it for a second before moving along.
Even the dumb find the crab game helped when there used to be lines for Little Mermaid. Remember lines for that ride?

If you haven't already, get a Touring Plans subscription ($15 for the year) and download the app. The wait times are a LOT more accurate than the MDE times, so it's much easier to gauge when to hop over to a particular ride. We waited probably 45 minutes, but we had picked up party snacks (maleficent ice cream!!!) at Storybook before getting in line so it wasn't a bad wait.
