Just curious if anyone has had ADR inside the park prior to opening and finished before "rope drop"?

If so, how quickly can you make it around to 7DMT or how far can you go before being stopped by a CM?

Just wondering if we would have a "long (meaning more than 30 mins)" wait if we have a jump start on the crowd for 7DMT

Thoughts from anyone with knowledge on this

We have an 8am ADR and the park opens at 9am

They are currently letting early ADR Guests have MULTIPLE rides on SDMT before the Main Gate line arrives around 7:50 AM or so.

They are starting up SDMT for early ADR Guests around 7:35 AM or so.:)

Unless your traveling in the very near future, your 8:00 a.m. ADR may wind up on an EMH day where the park opens at 8:00 a.m. so your dining while the rest are riding. If in fact there is a park opening at 9, when you get seated and they come to take your order, I would suggest asking for your check at that time and explain you would like to try and be done and out before rope drop.

According to WDW site, they are not on EMH on that day and that was one of my biggest concerns. So I made sure to schedule an 8am breakfast and I have no doubt we can finish a buffet in 30 mins. So that could give us enough time to get to 7DMT by 8:45

If early morning doesn't work out for you, we rode 7D with about a 5 minute wait just after Wishes two weeks ago (Monday June 1). The posted wait was 65 minutes but it was easy to tell that there were nowhere near that many waiting to ride.

When are you going? I would be willing to bet that if it is this summer, they will change the hours. We were there last week, and they changed the Magic Kingdom opening times for the the week while we were there.

If your ADR is at Crystal Palace I'd say no. It takes about an hour for all the characters to make their way to your table. You could always bail before meeting them all. Not sure about CRT or BOG.

We had a pre-opening BOG ADR last Sunday. We rode 7DMT twice before the RD horde arrived...first ride was at 7:42, second was at 7:47 according to our Memory Maker photos. When we got off the second time, we saw the CMs leading the RD horde around the corner at the Teacups, so we went to Peter Pan rather than ride a 3rd time. I don't know whether a CP ADR will have the same benefit as a BOG, as BOG is so close to 7DMT.

Disney made some late changes to the summer regular park hours (not EMH) and many days the MK is now having a regular opening at 8:00. In such cases, an 8:00 ADR will be a detriment to touring efficiently. So you should recheck the hours. We got lucky in the day of our BOG ADR was the only day that week that the opening time was not changed to 8:00, so the early ADR still helped.

I wouldn't count on what's on the site - its subject to change. Good luck! =)

We had a CP ADR at 8:15 this past Friday. We got to the park just after 7:00 and was close to the front of the ADR line. We were about the 5 family seated. Fixed plates and asked for check when giving our drink order. Finished breakfast and was headed out about 8:35 or so. We even got to see all 4 characters which normally doesn't happen when we have our early ADRs. Went through the castle and around the left side of the carousel and got in line for 7DMT which was going through the FP+ line. They didn't let us start riding until about 8:50. We were only able to get one ride in before the line filled with RD hordes. We were headed to PP just a couple of minutes after 9:00. So it can be done with a CP ADR. But you may not be able to see all the characters but that isn't that important to us so it was a great morning for us. As a side note, we closed the park that day to. We walked in to the park about 7:50 and walked out at about 1:30 a.m. It was a great day!!
