7DMT and Dessert Party

I need help with timing.

I plan to visit MK our arrival day. I have fast passes for Peter Pan and Haunted Mansion. I have the Dessert Party booked so we have easy seating for HEA.

Originally, I was going to do a loop from Peter Pan around to Pirates (the third Fastpass). But I just picked up a FP for 7DMT at 815 that night (so gave up Pirates).

Now I’m thinking we head to the Dessert Party, eat, then swing by 7DMT before sitting for the fireworks. Can you do that? I’m trying to avoid backtracking to minimize walking. But I didn’t get 7DMT for our other MK day, so I didn’t want to pass up the FP.

Will Pirates and Jungle Cruise be easy to get on via standby? Will I be able to modify the 7DMT to afternoon closer to the day of our trip?

1) which dessert party, Tomorrowland Terrace, Plaza Garden, or After Party?

2) what time is HEA on your night?

3) Is this during MNSSHP or MVMCP season? Assuming it is since you have FPs.

Dessert party/eating, then 7DMT FP, then back to fireworks viewing would be a non-traditional setup. It’s technically possible depending on answers to the above, but not likely many people have done it.

Ah, ok. Yes, you have the Plaza Garden version (which Disney calls the Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing). Yes, you check in and eat desserts in the upper levels of the Tomorrowland Terrace and then move to tbe Plaza Garden West for viewing at timing of your choosing. This version of the party has official check in starting 1.5 hours before fireworks. (I was thinking you had the seperate Tomorrowland Terrace dessert party which is the one where you sit/stay at your table in the Tomorrowland Terrace for the whole experience).

You can certainly eat, then go hit a ride, then back to the garden - there’s probably enough time in there if you’re diligent. You don’t have to go to the garden when done with desserts - you’ll have a wrist band so can just show up at the garden whenever you are ready.

Some people like to go ahead and get a spot in the garden early, but then others will wait until closer to show time - so it’s kind of a mixed bag.

Before the dessert party go to the CMs at 7DMT. Politely explain that you got a FP for later but also have the dessert party. If you scan in they can see when your FP is and know you aren’t making things up. As long as you are polite and ask, don’t demand, they are likely to let you in early. Especially if you are a smaller group (so group of 15, maybe not, group of 2, should be fine). That happened with me and my sister-she had one from 6-7, but I only got 6:55-7:55. We had dessert party starting at 7, but the CMs didn’t bat an eye at letting me in earlier during the beginning of her window.
