7DMT was built where another attraction once existed that had extremely long lines for what it was, but it wasn't Dumbo. 7DMT was built in the area once occupied by the queue area and outside lagoon for 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas.

Where Dumbo used to be is just the back castle walls they built to give some additional atmosphere to that part of New Fantasyland (between the carousel and Enchanted Tales with Belle).

If you blink during 7DMT, you miss much of it.

I was so glad I had a Fastpass. I would have been angry if I had spent any time in line for it. It's cute, but very short.

Yeah, lines are still long, although not as bad as our 2014 trip.

I don't get the hype. Rode it once and I was done!

Just returned last week...lines are still very long. Also, FPs go quickly and a 4th FP is impossible.

with consistently long lines there should be ample time to finish ones coffee before boarding.

When the new Tron attraction opens you'll see everyone with no small children in their party rushing that direction. I like 7DMT, but during an adults-only trip we can skip it if there are no FP available.

Yes, you are correct, but that's being a bit technical. 7D is still approximately where Dumbo was located.

But I suppose you have a point when you say 20,000 Leagues was also wildly popular and roughly in the same spot. It was one of our favorites.
