I must admit that while we have never opted for the VIP package, I'm not a fan of the "planned itinerary" concept that it includes. One of the wonderful things about DC, in my opinion, is having NO itinerary....and being able to enjoy the features of the park at our own pace.
We have done the Elite package, and thought it was a very worthwhile splurge.
