$79.99 TRIO King's Castle for $9.99!

Just wanted to share my experience with everyone!

I headed to our Kmart (which I rarely go to as others have stated) but for this deal felt I had to. I was pleased when I saw they had several castles and a couple of the accessories to go with the castle. However, they had NO peelies on any of them! ARGH! I then decided I had to go to Target and luckily I found a Kmart ad on the way out and brought it with me to Target to do the price match. I wasn't planning on going to Target to try this but felt determined at this point and I guess my gut just told me to. I found the VERY LAST ONE at Target AND IT HAD A $10 PEELIE! So, I went up to the front desk, price matched it with no problem and took the $10 off. I ended up paying $19.99 for it and I did not bring my $10 Target coupon for this item, again wasn't planning on going to Target today. I feel great about getting it now and it'll make a great present for next year!

It feels greedy to ask this, but if it's allowed I guess it's okay - can I take my receipt and the $10 Target coupon when I go back later in the week for them to adjust it? The cashier implied I could use a Target coupon with the peelie but couldn't use two manufacturers coupon's. I thought this policy changed for them and you couldn't do a PM with a Target coupon and a manufacturer coupon?

Last note (phew this is getting long!) I had checked online at Target before going and they showed in stock at my store. I felt pretty confident I had grabbed the last one and I just re-checked online at my Target and sure enough it now states Out of Stock so they're pretty accurate it updating their site.

Again, thanks to the original poster and everyone for sharing their input! I might be done with Xmas and bday for next year before Xmas even gets here!

Target coupons will be applied before the price match is made. If the competitor price is still lower than the price after the Target coupon has been deducted, the ad match can be adjusted to match the competitor's price.

I was able to do the price match at Target and use the manf. and Target coupons so it was only $14.99 for me today. Considering that it was supposed to be $74.99, I was thrilled!

I was able to do the same using PM and both target and manufacturer coupons. I paid $12.04 including tax. However, the lady at guest service has to check with the manager regard the price match price because the big difference in price, then check each coupons with her. It took about 20 minutes to do this but they ok the sale. I could have gotten another set except no peel off coupons on the 2nd one and I don't want to push my luck.

well I got the one at Kmart. They only had 2 at the Kmart I went to and only because it was on a top shelf where even I had to stand on tip toes to get it (that is where it always is).

and then I took ODD to Target last night so she could do her shopping and that Target had 1 castle! It shouldn't of been there since online it says out of stock. But I left it and then went home and told DH about it. Well he decided he had nothing to lose on trying to do the PM with both coupons so off he went. He had no issues PM w/ the coupons so I'm going to return the other one I got to Kmart.

I wasn't aware that Target had changed their price matching policy, but it seems that some Targets are allowing it.

I tried to price match today, but the register beeped whe the associate tried to do it. She called a trainer who said that the register should not beep if the item is the same. She looked at the ad and then the box and noticed that the ad said 214 pieces while their box said 210. She said that it was a different set and not the deluxe so they could not price match.


For those of you that were able to price match - how many pieces are in the box that you bought? I'm wondering if there are different boxes.

I think there are different boxes but I'm not 100%. I just double checked for you and the one I got is 214 pieces and this is exactly what's in the Kmart ad. I hope you find the 214 piece set!! Good luck!

Thanks for the info. I think you're right about there being different boxes because I checked the Fisher Price site and they have a box that has 213 pieces. So, I guess I'll check some other Targets in the area.

I do not have a kmart anywhere remotly close to me. I think the closest one is about 3 hours away! So if I print out the prince online will they still price match it or do I have to have the actual add?

You need the actual ad. I went to target using the printout ad from online and target refused to pricematch using it.

Just got mine, I did the Buy5 glade products @ 2.50 each and get a free 5$ GC. I only paid $5.50 because I had 2 bogo and a 2$/1 coups. Then used GC on trio set with peelie and target coup and only paid 5.68. Also got 2 boxes of swiss miss free with target coups.

Thanks OP!! I was able to price match today and use the Target coupon. My box did not have the peelie and I felt weird taking it from another package. This was the last castle they had. I had tried printing the $5.00 coupon but it did not print even though it said that it did on the screen then the 3rd time I tried it, it said you've already printed your coupon. Very frustrating. I was happy to get it for 19.99. My son has asked for this and even tho he's only 4, we have another set he loves playing with and his older sisters and dad and I will help him set it up!!

I may try printing the coupon from Target (I had used the one from their ad) and see if I can get one w/ a peelie from a different Target and donate it. How great would that be for a kid in need to get this?

BTW, the girl was happy to do it, she needed a manager to help, who didn't bat an eye. She just said "that's not a black friday ad or anything?" We said "nope". Guess she was surprised at the price. Then the girl told me that another lady had done this recently and paid like $11 including tax. Was it someone on the Dis? I was at the Target off 144th in Westminster Colo. Just curious.

I just spent way too much time calling all KMarts & Tagets within an hour drive time from me. NONE ~ NOTHING, I'll try Shopko & WalMart (I hate going to WM) with the $5 printable coupon (if I can print it at home ~ not working here at work) and hope for a peelie coupon. I should've tried earlier.

ETA ~ Success! I should've tried Shopko earlier, I have one on hold for me! Hopefully I have luck with coupons. YAY for Shopko ~ I scored a major Zhu Zhu haul late Oct. and now they have a castle for me! I'm not sure if I'll give it to DS or one of his younger cousins ~ but dang it I want it, this was hard to track down! I suppose I could get a rain check @ KM ~ but it's further away from me than Shopko so this'll be easier.
