7620 - who's my neighbor?

Thanks!!

I'll have to take a look at the thread to get some ideas.

How many people will be flying into Orlando the day before the cruise? We will get in late in the afternoon, so we'll probably just stay at an airport hotel and leave from there in the morning. Might be interested in sharing a limo to the port with other cruisers...so please keep us in mind if anyone has similar plans.

We'll fly in the night before. Why will you stay at the airport vs. staying by the port? I'm sure we'd be up for sharing.

Hi Neighbour! :wave2: 7066 here - we are across the hall! I can bring you goodies from Canada for being so brave. How about some Chipnuts? They are locally grown peanuts, with a potato chip coating.

Wow, that sounds really unusual...and good. :goodvibes I'll have to see what I can bring from WA state (besides apples!).

Actually, the port probably would be a better option. Do most of the hotels close-by have a shuttle to the ship? Maybe we can just "limopool" in style from the airport to Canaveral instead. At least we've got plenty of time to get all the details worked out! :goodvibes

I'd be the wrong person to ask. I think I saw that there are shuttles, but in a trip report I read they took a taxi.

As we get closer, we'll know better, I'm sure. Who knows? Maybe we'll be getting some offers on a Swan/Dolphin stay pre-cruise, or something. In any case, I plan on trying to get there the day before just so we don't stress about airline mishaps. And I'm definitely up for sharing a ride!
Hey, maybe Kevin will offer up a Villa stay cheap!

I was one of the people nervous about including stateroom numbers in the rollcall...however, the thought of possibly receiving goodies from the UK is making me feel much braver!!! Does that make me a Flake? (hint, hint ;) )

Okay, deep breath -- we're in 7065, which is Deck 7, midship.

I didn't read the thread about fish extenders, can someone tell me why they have that name?

I'm right there w/ you guys! Across the hall from calypso*a*go-go and 2 doors down from aGoofyMom :woohoo:

I haven't really thought about arriving the night before vs the day of. It would really suck to have a flight delayed and miss the boat, huh? Looks like I have some hotel research to do!

I noticed my family is in an area that has six inside cabins with a whole bunch of non-cabin space on either side of them...I'm sure the largest one is probably the rum cellar, but what's the other? :teeth:

Seriously -- does anyone know what's in that space? I have visions of a boiler room that clanks and clatters all night with a belch from time to time (kind of like my husband!).

Howdy neighbor! I would seriously consider arriving the day before. I know we shouldn't have any weather related issues by going in May, but you never know when something weird is going to happen with the airplane like mechanical problems, crew changes, etc. It would stink if you were sitting on the tarmac somewhere while all your new best friends are having a sail-away party. :(

At least you don't have as far to travel coming from VA...we fly out of Portland, OR and there's only a few flights that even leave early enough for us to get in before the ship leaves port.

How are we going to handle waiting until next May??? We're already talking when we're going to arrive.

Welcome to the neighbourhood...I will be researching as well. We are thinking of looking for some beach time before the cruise. DD actually chose that over WDW...even with me just coming back from a trip to WDW without her! :confused3

Now I am wondering about all that space too...the smaller spaces could be for the mint & simple syrup...or secret passages to send to mo-gee-toes to other decks...

Bring those great Washington State Cherries- we ate pounds of them last year when we visited our son in Seattle.
And we are on deck 6 also.

Thanks Mindy...just checked it out and it seems fine. :goodvibes

I also looked up your stateroom number and noticed that someone had commented: "conveniently located above cistern" -- it sounds like the perfect cabin for you! :teeth:

LOL!:lmao: :thumbsup2

Well, it wouldn't be the first time I've transported cherries across multiple statelines...but that's a story for another day. ;)

Can't wait for the story! And I love cherries!!!! Actually - I wasn't sure if WA was Washington State or not - I know most of those shortforms...

I was just looking at ordering some more maple butter - and noticed they have small jars, and maple sugar leaves too...hmmm

My DH keeps repeating, do they realize it's 15 MONTHS AWAY?????? Of course "they" includes me - I mean, ya gotta make plans!!!

We'll probably be in on any pre/post night stays somewhere. I was thinking of doing the Hyatt for the night the cruise ends (I guess that would be the 14th), just to relax before catching the flight to NJ and reality.

Yep a common slogan you see here is:
Vancouver...not BC,
Washington...not DC

And guess what: it was raining yesterday, is raining today, and will be raining tomorrow!!! Do you see a pattern here?

:rotfl2: You are really going to have to get a shirt made or something...
located above cistern - that's funny - I don't care who you are. :lmao:
God I wish I had thought of that Lisa!
