75 items for a 75th birthday - NEED IDEAS!!!!!

My mom is 85 so I asked her what she would like to get 75 of as a gift - here are her answers:
Band-aids
Candy
Gum/Mints
Cookies
Kleenex

Yes I was very SERIOUS. Maybe I am ARROGANT. I do know a lot of women who are under the age of 75 who wear a Light type of pad or depend item. It was just a list of suggested items for the OP. These are just material things. You singled out my post and was appaled, but yet you seemed to be ok with the poster about the ziploc bags so she could "take" items from a buffet. As you did not single out that post.

Urinary incontinence is a distressing and private matter. I would whap ya if ya gave me depends, especially in public. Likewise, sanitary napkins and hemorrhoid pads. If you are afflicted with such a problem, you are HIGHLY unlikely to be discussing and 'treasuring' celebrations of it.

Upon reflection, as OP is not a close friend of this lady, perhaps she's not the appropriate person to be charged with this. It's gotta be really difficult to get meaningful things for someone who is an acquaintance more or less.

Oh seriously, get over yourself. People give canes, walkers, geritol, etc. as gag gifts. Giving depends isn't that far off the theme. I wouldn't personally give that but "who cares"...just read it and go on. I'm so tired of over sensitive people. Move on!

You said you didn't know her very well.... How about this (if you want to get to know her):

Offer to do 75 different things for her over a period of time. Things such as: take her for a walk in a nice park; take her out to get her hair done; take her out for tea/lunch; sit with her and read, talk, or listen to music from "her time" while playing a board game or cards. You know, things like that.

frankly, you can get over yourself, as well. Last I looked, this was america and I still had the right to freedom of speech.

This topic, however, does cease to amuse me. I'm over IT, too. I just hope certain people don't draw my name for the Christmas gift exchange.

75 Hershey kisses! We've done this before. We glue the Hershey Kisses onto construction paper in the shape of the number(s).
