70 to Freezing in 7 hours. A Nov/Dec 2011 trip report. Updated 4/28

That does seem a little pricey for the 20th anniversary meal.
Things are expensive there anyway and then they just charge extra for that because of the stuff with 20th on them and they know people will buy them :goodvibes

I like how the Hollywood tower looks different. It's pretty cool. And its cool how you can see it from the LMA (French version) show. I'm surprised it wasn't as exciting.
I dunno what it was about it. It just seemed to be lacking something. It was lacking the man on fire and the man falling from a building anyway but it just seemed to lack umph or something. :confused3

Thats the origional stunts show right?

I dunno. It left out alot of what DHS has. There was no speed boats, no man on fire, no man falling from the roof but then in the video at the end where they showed how everything was put together once it was filmed all those things were in the video. :confused3

Love the CARS pictures...did not realize that France had this stuff!

Great update. I'm sorry your meal was a let down, but hey, at least you tried it. No regrets about missing out on that special 20th anniversary deal. :lmao:

I have to say I love seeing the pictures and comparing to DHS. I really had no idea that they had a similar themed park there, and it really is fascinating to see the similarities and differences between the 2.

I know I totally only tried it because it was the 20th Anniversary, other than that I would have been looking at the kids menu because it's cheaper :lmao:

It is really cool to compare the parks. I like finding the new things as well and then thinking how they would fit in WDW. :goodvibes

Nice Cars pictures!

The Tower of Terror just looks wrong and out of place!:lmao:

Sorry you had a bum meal, hopefully it gets better!

It would be so weird for me to not have the show in English!

Glad Momma got her nap in, the explosion would have got me jumping!

Nice Cars pictures!
Thanks :)

I know it looks weird just plonked there in the middle of everything lol

Sorry you had a bum meal, hopefully it gets better!
I think I stuck to the cheaper options after that :)

It would be so weird for me to not have the show in English!
The Stitch show? We didn't go to it because it wasn't in English. The Cars show hopped between English and French. I think it was like French French French then English translations if that makes sense :lmao:

Glad Momma got her nap in, the explosion would have got me jumping!
Lol she'll sleep anywhere. I was wondering how she was sleeping with the noise of the cars speeding about the place.

That was awfully pricey for an "anniversary" meal that consisted of any typical burger meal without the "burnt message" in the bread.

That Tower of Terror looks so strange after having seen "ours" for years.

Sorry the show didn't have as much excitement as the one in Florida. In truth, I've never seen it (not into all that car stuff).

I know. It's funny how everywhere does that though just because it's something for an occasion they think it's okay to up the price.

It does look strange. I think it looks wider than the one in WDW.

I'm not really into the cars stuff either but the show is Florida is really cool to see once at least. :goodvibes

Day 3, part 6:

So when I left you we had just come out of the Art of Disney Animation show and we were just wandering around the gift shop. Reading my trip report I forgot to mention again on the point of the rudeness in the parks in Paris we went for a bathroom stop before the Cars stunt show and even there people were skipping the queues and throwing us dirty looks when we wouldn't let them. Anyways after the Art of Disney Animation show we were pretty much done in Walt Disney Studios for the day but we took our time leaving and browsed the shops on the way out as well as pin trading and taking pics:
They had a few photo ops set up for the start of the Christmas season one of them was a bridge with some of the dalmation puppies on it. I had to take it in sections to try avoid the group of children climbing all over it:

This was in one of the shops:
DSCF3458_zps17d19414.jpg

As we left I nearly fell over this near the fountain:
DSCF3460_zpsf155c600.jpg

After that we left the Studios:
DSCF3461_zps59d6fed6.jpg

However we weren't done yet we headed into Disneyland because we had missed their night-time show the night before because Bonfire night was on.
DSCF3462_zps991c7d16.jpg

Just inside the entrance hub we decided to take a browse through the Storybook shop...Duffy was in the window there was no way I wasn't going in:

Santa Duffy:

This was on the wall near the cast members only door:
DSCF3474_zps2fd3be39.jpg

After that we headed over towards adventureland to find a bathroom before getting a spot for the night-time show.
DSCF3465_zps0e9bd629.jpg

We took a wander through a gift shop there as well and I had another weird pin trading experience. Another rule of pin trading as I know it is if the cast member already has the pin you want to trade away you can't trade with them you have to give them a pin they don't have. So I spotted a Stitch on one CM's lanyard and also noticed he had three of the exact same Minnie Mouse. I asked him to trade the stitch and was going to pick the pin but again he was like do I not get a choice? and he wasn't overly friendly in the way he said that either. I told him he had a choice of three he humped and just picked the pin at the top. The pin trading experiences definitely didn't make me feel comfortable. Anyways we finished our browsing and I spotted this and loled.. It's me most mornings I'm not at Disney:
DSCF3466_zps5b8a31e0.jpg

It's actually probably true of me with the phone as well because I never answer it lol!
After that we headed back towards the Castle hub to wait for the show to start. We were lucky enough to find a bench at the back of the hub beside the fence so nobody would come stand in front of us. I spent the time waiting trying to get a good night-time picture of the Castle. The pictures on the cameras weren't coming out well so I tried my phone and ipod. This was the best I got from the ipod:

Angel wanted to get in on the action as well:
IMG_0663_zps2b5052ae.jpg

After that I used Angel as a cushion so I could kneel on the bench and get a better view of the night-time show. The show is called Disney Dreams and is it like Fantasmic mixed with World of Colour, mixed with Magic, Memories and you and a little bit of fire and lasers for good measure. I was taping it so couldn't get pictures but I took pictures off the video footage I have instead:

Next up: Disney Dreams, part 2

Seems like a cool show to see!

I'm starting to think that maybe you really should have taken that frying pan with you! :rotfl2::lmao:

Seems like a cool show to see!
It was pretty cool. When Paris do shows they just seem to throw everything into them that they possibly can like fireworks and projections aren't enough they have to add lasers, fire and water fountains just for good measure :goodvibes

I'm starting to think that maybe you really should have taken that frying pan with you! :rotfl2::lmao:
Oh the best is still yet to come just wait :rolleyes1 :goodvibes

Day 3, part 7:
So we were half way through watching the Dreams show:

Step in Time:

Tangled:

Not enough?.. ok add in some fire as well:

And a big explosion finale:

SAM_4559_zps553b6b03.jpg

So after the show the park closed which meant everyone headed for the exit at the same time. I'm not that tall so when in crowds like that tend to get smothered by the taller people in the crowd. I couldn't see above the heads so yours truly started to get dizzy and panicky. We ducked into the side arcade which was alot less crowded than Main Street USA and we browsed some of the stalls on the way out. Momma was looking for glasses on one and I noticed all these little ornaments which were forty prices but cute:
DSCF3469_zpsa402a69d.jpg

DSCF3470_zps11cb75a0.jpg

Once out of the park we went into the Disney Village in the hopes that the crowd would die down and there would be less people on the bus back to the hotel. While there it would be rude not to browse the shops. We went into the Christmas shop to have a lookie. I took pics of the decorations in the shop and some of the merchandise:
DSCF3476_zps7836a90b.jpg

DSCF3478_zpsba062b39.jpg

I only noticed when editing the picture that Stitch's arm is broken off, there was alot of the merchandise like that especially with the ornaments, bits seemed to be broken off alot of them:

This next one ended up coming home with us. Alot of shops had special offer buys on like spend so much and get an item for so much, so for example in the morning in the World of Disney I had bought a Vinylmation and you got a second one for 2 euro with it. There was another offer if you spent 30 euro you could get a blanket for 10 euro. This decoration was on offer in one of the shops that if you spent 15 you got this for 5 euro so I got pins and Momma got this:
DSCF3495_zps76e84290.jpg

The Christmas shop is attached to World of Disney so we wandered in there for a browse before heading back to the hotel:
DSCF3496_zps8c625759.jpg

In the hotel I took pics of some of the stuff I got that day. I don't normally share these pics but had to with these mainly because I've never seen a Scrump plushie (for those that may not know Scrump is Lilo's doll in Lilo and Stitch)
IMG_0667_zps7589cc83.jpg

Then it's a little blurry but these are the pins I managed to trade for that day. The bottom five are Cast lanyard only so can only get those ones from CM's
IMG_0665_zps4e1ae9ed.jpg

I also found the name of the food place we had eaten at earlier in the day. It was called Food-a-go-go

Next up: Christmas starts early.

So I am a tad late joining the party!! Enjoying your TR so far, I have made it to when you were eating lunch at Crystal Palace, I am jealous!! We were at Disney for our boys' 4th and 8th birthdays (their birthdays are December 5th) from Dec. 4-December 9 2011 and went to CP on the 6th, it was terrible! Every other time we have ever eaten there, we loved it, but that time, the food was terrible, our server was okay, but we never even got to see Pooh bear!!! I was so upset, I think I cried!! So the hubs and I decided we will be skipping it for a few trips, but I am glad you guys enjoyed it!! I can't wait to get caught up with the rest of your trip!!
