70 to Freezing in 7 hours. A Nov/Dec 2011 trip report. Updated 4/28

Yay for Mickey mail and water parade...boo to being down...yay for Disney Paris!
Lol thanks. I'm in a better mood now than I was like two weeks ago but still bleh. DISNEY! 17 days! and graduation in like 25, I need to decide what I'm wearing to that thing or if I need too get something to wear... Can I wear a Mickey Mouse dress?? :lmao:

It won't be long now. Have you started packing. I usually enjoy it.
This time seems to be insanely crazy for me for some reason. I am trying to be organized, but I keep losing things. :rotfl:

Haven't started packing. Was thinking bout it. 16 days.. I need to go shopping

OMG like 10 months later, 83 songs and 184 video sections I've finished all the bits for my holiday 2011 dvd's. Now to put them all on disk :goodvibes

It's past midnight over here so eh 15 days til Mickey's Chateau :cheer2:

Warning this is extremely long. Also you may need tissues because it's time for the final update of the trip report:

Day 15, part 5/Day 16:

First I forgot to mention above in Epcot I had bought Momma a Mum pin as a thanks for chasing after me for two weeks. In World of Disney she bought me a lady plushie as a thanks for organising the whole trip. That lady plushie is not just mine but part of all of you because its through all of your trip reports that I learned so much about the parks.

Anyway so when I left you we had just arrived at the airport. Once we got to the right terminal we went straight to check in. We had checked the weight of the bags several times in POP so we knew we were under weight (just about) so we would be fine right?! Eh wrong Momma was over by a whole .5, where she got the .5 from between POP and the airport well never know but they didnt say anything anyway (theres another airline over here that would have made her pay 50 dollars for that.) When I went to check my case in it was fine but there was the most silly person ever in the line behind me so I stepped forward to put my case on the belt and when I stepped back nearly landed in a wheelchair on top of some old lady whose idiot person with her had pushed her wheelchair forward the minute I stepped forward with my case! Anyways after we got all checked in I needed one more Disney fix because I was not about to give up Disney that quick so off to the airport Disney store. (oh and btw at this stage I still had two pieces of hand luggage, three if you count Santa Shamu who was to big for any of the bags.) Anyway Momma decided she had had enough of Disney so sat with the bags. I went to take pics.
DSCF9920.jpg

I went to take pics of Mickey outside the shop and a CM saw me and asked if I wanted him to take the pic so I could get in beside Mickey. I said no thanks because I just wanted Mickey Mouse and then I heard this older lady nearby saying to a man beside her how rude of that girl not letting the CM take her pic he was only being nice. I wasn't rude and he smiled and understood I only wanted the mouse. Shhhush up you nosey buggers loike!

So after saying a final goodbye to Mickey Mouse we headed for the security and the departure gates. Momma wanted to go to duty free. I was watching the time and not sure how big the airport was. We were supposed to go to gate 48 which was we'll say on fake monorail B. Duty free was at gate 28 which was on fake monorail A. To get to duty free we'd have to go out on monorail A then come back on the monorail to where we were to get the fake monorail to our actual gate if that makes sense so I told Momma I didnt think it was a good idea because we didnt know how far away it was and if we would get back and to our gate in time. She started huffing so I was like fine well go to duty free but if we miss the flight you're paying because I have no money left! So we headed off to the monorail and she started crying going lets go back. I stood firm and was like no you insisted we go to duty free so were going to Duty free (I was on Disney depression now!) so we went. Momma went into duty free and I went and sat down, took Angel out of the case and started bawling. I didnt want to leave Disney. I was sick of trying to do things that would keep Momma interested and happy only to find her start crying when I only meant good. I didnt want to go back to Ireland. I didnt feel safe in Ireland after what happened the previous year. I was anxious and sick in Ireland. In Disney I was wrapped in a cocoon and felt safe and happy. The trip was meant to make me happy after a hard year. Disney is my happy place and they were tearing me away from it. Momma came out of the Duty free and we headed back towards our gate her now trying to stop my tears but it wasnt happening. When we got to our gate, the flight was delayed! We sat at the gate and I ate the rest of my Santa cupcake from POP, Momma then gave me dollars to go get drinks in the shop. Remember I had my not a people person grumpy t-shirt on and I had been bawling. I was not in funny mode. The girl at the counter looked at me and just smiled and went really? I smiled and didnt answer. I couldnt.
Soon it was time to board the plane. Guess what I got away with the two pieces of hand luggage and now two cuddlys that were in my hand. When we got on board the flight was more than half empty so I guess thats why. Mouth-less man was back:
DSCF9937.jpg

The Captain was female. I noted this because I've never had a female captain before they're usually male over here. Then it was time to say a final farewell for now to Orlando and its blurry lights:
DSCF9939.jpg

In flight entertainment made me laugh. Aer Lingus is an Irish airline and in the in flight entertainment there was radio station options. I did radio in college and have done work experience in various stations and one of the girls I actually knew was on the in flight entertainment. There was also many Disney movies and Phineas and Ferb cartoons so I educated myself as to what they were. They also had Westlife albums so I amused myself the whole way back. I think I also watched a glee concert as well:
DSCF9953.jpg

Although it was a through the night flight I didn't sleep much because the guy in front of me didnt smell too pleasant (not his fault but I won't go into that) and it was kind of making me sick. During the dinner I sat Angel to the side of the table:
DSCF9946.jpg

There was a lovely old man sitting across from us and he was saying as everyone does how Angels face is very cute and life like as if he's about to start talking and he said Angel looked very comfy. Momma told him that Angel had travelled all over the world and yer man was like oh so he's a good traveller. Ever the Disser I kept up the food pics right until the end. This was dinner on the way home:

Miami to London again (they need to make that map less general!):
DSCF9949.jpg

The old man moved up the plane I guess to somewhere with more leg room since the flight was so empty. He did pass by later on in the flight on the way to the rest rooms I guess and asked how Angel was getting on. Shortly before we got into Dublin they came round with a very light breakfast:
DSCF9952.jpg

DSCF9955.jpg

Oh whoop-di-do we're nearly in Ireland:
DSCF9959.jpg

DSCF9961.jpg

The flight back was 7 hours long instead of 9 hours and we got back to Ireland just before 8am in the morning. We took the blankets and pillows from the plane for my doggies.
DSCF9965.jpg

We got our bags and headed for our bus which was at a different terminal so outside in the cold. When we left Florida it was in the 70s. When we got to Ireland it was 4 degrees Celsius so about 35ish in Florida terms. I had my hoodie, coat and the two airplane blankets on my and I was still shivering. In simple terms it was freezing and so the trip title was born 70 to freezing in 7 hours. Dublin airport had put up more Christmas decorations:
DSCF9966.jpg

And this little dude kept us company at the bus stop:
DSCF9968.jpg

We got back home by 11 and I had my worms in dirt from POP while I was waiting for my doggies to arrive home.
DSCF9969.jpg

Then it was time for bed to prepare to face "normal" life again.

The End! Thank you all for reading along. I hope you enjoyed

Ok, first off I am laughing that you took the blankets and pillows. Not being on a flight that has ever had those ... is it allowed? It just sounded so funny.
What a depressing day to go back though. I totally know the feeling. you leave the happy place and some people just don't care that it is upsetting to you.
So did Momma buy anything at the Duty free? I never knew there was one there. Is it only for foreign travelers or anyone? Not that I need to get it. LOL

Emma thank you for sharing your trip with us. You do such a great job at making one feel as if they are right there with you!

I truly hope you find the perfect job soon. Perhaps it will be in the US.

Today is a sad day. Two of my favorite trip reports have ended. :sad2: Hope you will write about DLP when you get back!

Thank you for sharing your trip with all of us here! It's always sad when our trips must come to an end. :sad1: But, I enjoyed getting to re-live it with you! :goodvibes

Well it is a shame that the trip ended with a smack in the face from some winter temperatures, but all in all, it seems like you were able to really enjoy yourself.

And the best news of all is that you'll get some more Disney magic in a couple of weeks!

I think they just throw them in the bin for hygiene reasons after the flight so don't think it mattered to much plus the boys needed a present as well :lmao:

I know. The way home from Florida is always the most depressing day.

I think she bought cigarettes for people, maybe alcohol I don't remember really. I think the Duty free is for anyone that wants to use it. I just didn't think it made sense that you had to go to one place for that and back to a different place for your gate.

No bothers and thanks for reading :)

I hope so to and if it's in the US it'll be an added bonus, just ship my dogs over and I'm there :)

Aw thanks for reading. I will of course write a trip report for Paris. I'm not doing a PTR so just keep watch here and I'll let everyone know when I start the new one.

No probs. Thanks for reading. It's great to relive it for an extra 11 months :lmao:

Yeah I kinda expected it to be cold and maybe wet we got lucky with the fact it wasn't wet. I just didn't expect it to be so cold that with all those layers on I was still shivering.

And the best news of all is that you'll get some more Disney magic in a couple of weeks!
Yeah like this time two weeks I'll be trying to convince myself I need to go to bed early to get up for an early flight :lmao:

Oh, such a sad end.

I don't want to leave WDW and we haven't started our trip!

I agree, it does sound funny that you kept the pillows & blankets. But them again, I'm the person who kept my TSM glasses because I was so overly excited to have ridden it that I held on to them and was outside before I realized it. Shhhh, don't tell!!

Soon you be will Mickey in Paris!

Delta airlines always gives their blankets to those who want to take them. At least this is what I have witnessed.. Dog's gotta have gifts!:thumbsup2

Lock yourself in the room and see if they remove you by force.. If they don't let me know and I'll fly over and lock myself in as well :rotfl:

I know nothing :rolleyes1 I think they were going to throw them out anyway so I like to call it recyling :)

I know. I had planned on getting them stuff in Disney but they had got rid of the Dog toys and collars. The little dog has a mickey mouse collar I got in World of Disney in 2010 and I wanted one for the bigger dog to.

Silly bus changing it's route and stopping at the top of the road that the Disney shop is on and then the Disney shop gets in new Christmas Vinylmation's. This is not helping me save money...

On the plus side I now have a very cute Mickey Mouse Vinylmation that smells like Gingerbread. :goodvibes

oh yeah and 13 days.

12 days to go. Spent most of today in bed with a sore throat. I feel a cold coming on. Now I'm going to watch Toy Story 3 with Lotso, Duffy and Angel like the child I am :lmao:

Oh no! I hope you feel better soon. John and I have both been sick in the last month, and now I'm hoping Kadence skips the bug.

At the mo it's only a sore throat so hoping it doesn't develop into a proper cold before Disney time

Help me decide do I want to go to my graduation ceremony or not.. I'm supposed to have answered them like two weeks ago oops :confused3
Graduation is the 14th of Nov. We have to pay for the hire of the gowns. They cost like 40 euro or I could just go into the college a week after and pay 6 euro for the bus to pick up the piece of paper. What to do...

Also 11 days to Chateau de le Mickey :)

Also if I put those light up twinkle toes in my suitcase will the airport security people question what they are???
