I have to agree with the majority. Personally, I don't think a Disco Party would be a big hit. That being said, it definitley depends on your DS and his friends.
Like someone mentioned (Starr, I think! Hey Unicorn!) a Wii Party would be really cool if your DS has a Wii or has at least played one (again, only if he's into it).
When I think of parties for little boys I think: sports, videogames, Pirates, etc. Or depending on finances, what about a party at place that has Laser Tag, bumper cars or bowling? I think boys would enjoy that!
I will be the party pooper and say not to really invite the girls. 7 is coming close to the age where the boys stay on one side of the room and the girls on the other. That being said, if you don't see these barriers go for it!
OP-I'd ask your friend if she has any other good ideas for a party!
EDIT: how about a regular dance party w/ everything you mentioned, OP, but not limited to Disco music?
