7 yo DS Blues!

I just signed up my 7 yo ds for CYO Day Camp. We moved last week and he is already driving me INSANE! He is being so negative all the time! Today's tantrum was all about the fact that he has NOTHING to do. All the toys are boring.

3 weeks ago, when school was in, he cried because there wasn't enough time to play with all of those now boring toys! ARGH!

I know the whole move thing has him bugged and I'm trying to be a good MOM but I'm ready to just shoot him! So I found out about the CYO day camp and dh took him to check it out and we signed him up. Next week he'll be there from 9-4 everyday.

The $100 for the week will be well worth it if he has a good time and makes a friend or two. Guess those curtains in the dining room can wait.

A bonus-Our new house is much bigger than the old one and the downstairs is mostly not carpeted so when I yell it echos! Kind of a neat effect but it's not working either.

It's probably the move that's getting to him and now he's getting to you. Ride it out until camp begins. Hopefully he'll find a friend or two and it'll be fine. {{hug}}

Poor guy! Poor mom too!
He'll get adjusted soon just give him time.
We are moving in 10 days and I have planned a small get together for the secind weekend after we have moved for my DD so she can have a last goodbye with her friends. Our new place is about an hour away. I'm hoping this will make it easier for her. Perhaps if you could do someting like that for him, I mean if you are close enough. Maybe have an old friend stay the nite? Just an idea
