7 Year Old who likes seafood..

We have not been to Fulton's, it's not on the DxDP. We have however been to Coral Reef and were not impressed. Actually, could barely eat our meals. Coral Reef gets mixed reviews so maybe we just hit a bad night but we still will not be back. Just don't want to take that risk when there are so many other good restaurants out there.

Our 8 yr old LOVES anything seafood, the one she liked the best for seafood was Cape May Cafe Buffet. There are a lot of different choices and you can get soley seafood or mix it up with land-lubber choices. But don't know whether or not that is the atmosphere you were looking for.

Good Luck and have a great time! I hear Fulton's is wonderful and if you choose Fulton's I would love to hear a review. It might persuade us to sway off the DxDp for one meal!!

I agree that Coral Reef is very hit or miss. Ate there a couple of years ago and LOVED it, great table by the tank and killer grilled Mahi Mahi although I had to ask the waiter to back off a little - rushing us too much. Went again last year and had a totally opposite experience. Still had a nice view of the tank but service was unbelievably slow and the food was edible but nothing else. I keep trying to fit Cape May in but haven't succeeded yet.

We had a wonderful meal at Cape May last year. The year before we ate at Coral Reef, it was dirty, crowded and loud and the food was just okay.

My 9 year old DD also loves seafood and she was majorly disappointed with the Mahi-Mahi on the kids menu at Coral Reef. It was a tiny, tiny portion, and as I recall, the only seafood option for kids.

We are going to try Fulton's this summer - they have a few more kids options for seafood, although they are a little pricier. I have never been to Cape May for dinner (not a big fan of buffets) but I agree with the previous posters that it would be better than Coral Reef as far as variety is concerned.

My DD8 has loved seafood for years. We are from the Northeast so we're used to nice fresh seafood. That being said, we LOVED Fulton's. You may also take a look at Cape May. My DD loved the crab legs there. Although Fulton's was much better, it was also much more expensive.

I've heard Cape May's dinner buffet is good in terms of seafood. Coral Reef would be fun for the ambiance but a lot of the reviews about the food are negative.

I had some outstanding shrimp and scallops at Le Chefs de France one year. My DH has had good fish at Coral Reef, but he said not to book there this trip. Our December experience was not a good one! Slow service and his food wasn't good. Mine was great, but our server was so bad, we only tipped 10% and that never happens! I would love to try Cape May.

There's a shrimp meal on the kid's menu at Teppan Edo that my DS8 went nuts for. It was grilled in front of us with everyone else's meal. Huge shrimp, and quite a few for a kid's meal.:thumbsup2

I second the Cape May recommendation - a buffet is a good way to go w/ any child. Also, the environment is fun and if you're out around the right time you can catch a disney movie on the beach after dinner (at beach club beach) or Illuminations.

Dinner buffet at Cape May is seafood and gets good reviews; does also have some good non-seafood choices if that's an issue for anyone else in the family. Buffets are bonus if you are on DDP because at non-buffets kids are limited to the 'childrens menu' but at the buffet they can sample anything they like.

Coral Reef is nice but is more about WATCHING the fish than EATING the fish; really no more fish choices on that menu than most other WDW restaurants.
