7 nights at 7 different restaurants for 7 of the best dinning experiences

Wow, some great suggestions coming up here!

I am going to try and put our plan together and post it on here ASAP.

My partner used to manage a restaurant so we are fans of the more finer side of dinning. Nothing better then a great meal, good drinks and great friends around.

Only worry of the deluxe plan is that so many of the reviews on the boards say its way to much food... It might be better just to pay for a couple of signature meals.

Thanks everyone!

I have done the deluxe plan a couple of times, works well if you are looking at having two meals per day - 1 signature and 1 table service, so Breakfast or Lunch & Signature Dinner.

The snack credits are then good for the "missed" meal.

Me thinks me likes, in no particular order:

Jiko
Yachtsman
Citricos
O'hana
The Fountain
Brown Derby
Il Mulino

Arrrrrrrrrr

Yeah, I think we should keep talking about Kevin since he's not in here. Haha.

True, I forgot Kevin liked the hummus and soup or something but didn't think that was enough to be worth it, I think everyone else at the table had mixed opinions. For breakfast it is one of the cheaper buffet options because you aren't paying for character interaction I guess. Someday maybe I will try it for dinner and see what I think.

You guys are giving me good ideas of places to try on our next trip!

My Top 7 Dining Experiences (in no particular order) would be:

1. Flying Fish
2. Jiko
3. Sanaa
4. Yachtsman Steakhouse
5. California Grill (more for the view and the experience, but they plate some good food)
6. Citricos
7. (and in a class by itself) V&A

I'm so glad you went there, Mike. By "went there", I mean you mentioned Swan/Dolphin restaurants. I didn't bring those up because most people don't have them on their radar due to the popularity of the dining plan.

But I have to admit that the restaurants at Swan/Dolphin are some of my favorites.

The Fountain - Think of it as Beaches and Cream without the wait and better burgers. No kitchen sink dessert, but I think that dessert is a hot mess to stay away from.

Todd English's bluezoo™ - one of my favorite places. And the bar now has a fun interactive menu with the bar food and drinks. And you can order from the restaurant menu in there if you want. I did a tasting menu there in December that was a lot of fun. I have photos of it, which would probably have made Corey happy.

Shula's - better steak than Yachtsman. Although I really need to give Yachtsman another shot to redeem itself, because I was not happy with the quality last time I tried it.

Il Mulino - Just awesome Italian food. And there's a wine I like there that ain't bad, either.

Kimono's - best sushi on property. Good selection and quality, only open dinner hours.

Fresh - They have a really good breakfast buffet. Last time I went was just before podcast cruise 2.0.

I even tried Picabu a few years ago. Their lunch specials had enough food to feed a third world nation, but I still think about how good the chicken pot pie was.

I haven't even listed my favorite restaurants, because typically, if it's at a resort and uses two dining credits...I pretty much like it. I've done Victoria and Albert's in both the main dining room and Chef's Table, and I hope to try the Queen Victoria room some time to see how it compares to the Chef's Table experience.

Taking into account that you are not that interested in character dining, here's what I'd recommend:

Jiko
Hollywood Brown Derby
California Grill
50s Prime Time (comfort food + entertainment)
Sci-Fi Dine-In cafe (not the most amazing food on property, but I think it's a really fun place to eat and I like their hamburgers and steak salad for lunch)
Wolfgang Puck Express
Teppan Edo - good food, fun experience - the green tea pudding is probably my favorite dessert on Disney property now

Also, I know it's not a sit down restaurant, but we love the Tangerine Cafe in Morocco.

I've never been to Narcossee's or Yachtsman, but I've always heard great things about them so I bet those would be great options for some amazing meals.

I haven't been to Victoria & Alberts, but a friend went there with her husband and said it was the best meal they ever had a Disney.

Hmmm....

Jiko
Narcoosee's
Yachtsman
Bistro de Paris
I always forget what the Mexico restaurant is called and I'm too lazy to Google
Citrico's
Grand Floridian Cafe

Hollywood Brown Derby
Jiko
California Grill
Narcoossee's
Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue
Bistro de Paris
Kona Cafe

DH and I originally thought we could do the regular dining plan in October. But I was pregnant and all the baby wanted was filet mignon (good taste, I know.) So we thought we would splurge and go on the deluxe dining plan, making it more affordable to have steak every night.

I am so glad that we did. We ate at a signature restaurant almost every night, which was so nice. We do enjoy the character meals so we were able to eat buffet breakfasts almost each morning.

The icon on your ticker is the Beach Club. That is where we stayed and LOVED it. We ate at the Cape May Cafe twice and Yachtsmen which was right next door and both were absolutely wonderful.
My Top 7 Dining Experiences:
Yachtsmen Steakhouse
Le Cellier
Jiko
Les Chefs de France
Via Napoli
Sanaa
Crystal Palace (One great thing about here is if your ADR is before park opens you can get pictures on Main Street in front of the castle with hardly anyone in them!)

Love so many places:
1. Jiko's
2. Narcoosees
3. California Grill (minus the noise)
4. Brown Derby
5. Sanaa (love the spice)
6. Bistro de Paris
7. Kona Sushi

I also really like the food at Flying Fish, but it's so noisy that I end up with a headache.

TOP These

Narcoosees
Brown Derby
Calif Grill
Bistro de Paris
Yachtmans
BlueZoo
LeCellier
