I remember reading that a few have done this but not having any luck finding any threads. Any helpful tips would be appreciated. Do you have to get off and register again or can you just do it the first week and stay on? TIA!

People had done this on our cruise two years ago..they were allowed to stay on between cruises. We were going to book back to backs..DCL..said it depended on security at the time of cruise whether or not they let you stay on between cruises or not.

Howdy,
we have booked back to back for the end of nov and first of dec 2006. We were told that we can stay on board, no need to go off and on again. I don't know where we will have to stay. maybe confined to rooms or be able to go up on deck. Don't know for sure. They do lots of heavy duty cleaning between guests so we can't get in the way. I'm sure they will inform us ahead of time where we can and can't go while awaiting the next guests.
I can't wait. i know that 14 days will be awesomw. it will be our 7th disney cruise

We did back to backs in Sept/October 2004. We were allowed to stay on board during the turnaround, but we were kicked out of our stateroom for a short period of time for cleaning. We did laundry, checked out the empty ship (so nice, and we have great pics with no people in them!!) and tried to stay out of the CMs way. We checked in a guest services for #2 at about 1200, got our new KTTW cards and watched a new group of fresh, wide eyed faces come on the ship!

Let me know if you have any other questions. There are a few other folks who have done back to backs too...I know there is a trip report from Nat (I forget her whole Dis name) who just did back to backs this year.

We have just done our 2nd back-to-back: it was even better this time - if that is possible!

We get off the ship between cruises as we like to take a taxi to Merritt Island Mall and get some USA bargains! Besides, the crew are all busy cleaning and re-stocking the ship between 9.30-12.00. We also enjoy joining the new cruisers in the terminal, and getting ANOTHER boarding photo with the date on!

My back-to-back report may offer some advice on excursions, etc., if anyone is interested: or e mail me for info; be glad to help. Happy cruising. Nat :cool1:

Oh these posts make me want to do it for sure. So do you have to "re-register and get new cards? Boarding photos? Is this new? Our last cruise on DCL was 2 days before 9/11 so I'm sure a lot has changed. Thanks for all the info.

Okay, all of of you that can afford back to back cruises ..... I hope you all have high winds and big waves.... Uhm, I mean...... Have a wonderful time and Happy Sails.

Just joking. I'm jealous jealous jealous!!!!!

It's generic peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches for dinner, ice water on the side.
Saved the change. That about covers it for costs, and gets you out of cooking for a couple of years. If they complain just remind them of the gourmet meals they will get for 14 days!!!
Just kidding. But I do have 4 piggy banks, one for each coin and of course they are disney banks. All of our change goes into them with no acceptions. They actually add up a few hundred each year. That helps a lot and is a fun project for everyone to count as each bank gets full.
Amost time to count again.

Wow! I'd love to do that sometime. I imagine it would be too costly to do in the near future. Have only certain times we can travel (kids in school). I love this idea!!!

I'm in the same boat. I could never go in the summer because of my job (entertainment agent... busy season). Not to mention, I am self employed so if I disappeared for 2 weeks I probably wouldn't have a business when I got back. So even if I could afford it, I could never swing it.
Jealous Jealous Jealous.
Have a wonderful time.
By the way.... we have a 5 gallon water jug where we save change for DISNEY WORLD/DISNEY CRUISES every two years we dump it for our spending money (usually about $600.00-$700.00 and it's too heavy to pick up to bum change out of it!

You see, we are getting all of our extravant vacations out of the way BEFORE we have kids....I was really hoping to come home with a little souviner after our back to backs...no such luck :smooth:
