We are Platinum and have sailed on all ships except the Treasure. Now that DCL is coming out with so many new ships, I don’t know if it’s feasible any longer to attempt to sail on them all. I have a 7 night Eastern Treasure cruise booked, but for the same price I can do a B2B on the Dream and visit both Castaway Cay and Lighthouse point in the same trip. We’ve been to all of the ports previously. We sailed the Dream last February and didn’t have a great experience with service but I’m hoping it has improved. What would you do?

Not sure how many times you've been on the Dream, but I'd do Treasure. It was truly beautiful and a wonderful cruise. We loved our Feb Eastern Carib cruise that my wife 'ordered' me to book another one soon. We're going back in October. We love the Dream (see below), but Treasure was fabulous.

I would also book the Treasure. We just had the same discussion. We had the choice of 2 or 3 B2B Dream cruises in a VGT cabin or a week on the Treasure. We picked the Treasure. We just weren’t excited about the Dream. Or sailing out of Ft Lauderdale. Or losing half a day on cruise changeover day. Or having the same menus multiple times. We wanted to try something new!

I'd book the Treasure. Not a fan of B2B cruises because of the repeat. At least with the Treasure you get different ports and don't lose the changeover day.

I'd do the Treasure. Mostly because I, also, want to take at least one cruise on all the ships.

B2B Dream you're going to get the same shows repeated, as well as menus.

7 nights on one cruise, the entertainment will have more options (in my experience). And 7 different menus.

I’m actually not a fan of B2B sailings. I think they are better in theory than in practice. I hate losing that one day when you have to disembark and then re-embark and go to muster drill is just kind of not worth it imo. I would do a side-by-side before I would ever do another B2B.

The treasure will provide you with a new restaurant to try- plus several new menus, new lounges to explore, a beautiful ship to check out, a new stage show, and several new entertainment options that are unique to the Treasure.

If the Treasure is like the Wish then I would do the Dream b2b which we actually did this past February. We were not impressed with the Wish.
Despite being the same layout as the Wish, the Treasure is very much a different ship.

For some background, I'm Pearl and have sailed all ships (Dream/Fantasy are my favorites). We usually do a 7 night or 3/4 B2B in the summer. Due to the lack of adult pool/deck/bar areas I'm not too excited about sailing the Wish or Treasure in the summer (I did really like the Treasure, except for that 1 aspect).

With that said, this year we booked a 5 night Fantasy, followed by 3 nights on RCCL Utopia. Next summer again, we booked a 5 night Fantasy, followed by a 4 night Fantasy. I do feel 9 nights might be a bit too long for me, but we will have 3 visits to CC and 2 to LC so that itinerary just sounds perfect! So obviously, my answer is the B2B option.

I'd go with the Treasure to try a new ship; unless you really disliked the Wish. I haven't been on a B2B but I think that I would prefer a 7-night and not repeating the shows, experiences and menus.
