7 month windows at Xmas time?

I'd like to book a family vacation in December 2007 , ( I know that's a long time away but planning Dis vacations is what keeps me sane, lol). We would need a 2 bedroom, I'd like to try for BWV (standard view) possibly 12/23/07 for 5 nights and then move over to OKW 2 bedroom for 5 nights... we own at SSR so would have to use the 7 month window, is this going to be possible at all?

I hate being the bearer of bad news but I don't think there is any way you will get a standard BWV at X-Mas for the 7 month window, OKW on the other hand may be another story. Just luck of the draw I guess

My guess is that for the BWV standard 2-bedroom it is highly unlikely. For your OKW part I'll guess it's a better chance, in fact, at 7 months out, I'll say it is likely that you will get one.

I agree with the previous posters. As a matter of fact at Christmas time I would think 7 WEEKS out wouldn't even get you a standard view.

We own at BWV, and even though it is not at Christmastime, we booked for the weekend of December 7 just this week....and we could not even get a studio or 1-bedroom with standard view. The advice I was given by Deb Wills (allearsnet) was that always plan for the preferred view, and if you get a standard you are lucky

It will be difficult to pull off, even OKW at that time is fully booked up. They used to have a lottery for the rooms at OKW during Christmas Week. I would stick with your home SSR for that time period.

I would agree with being able to get the 2 BR at OKW at 7 months but doubt BWV SV will be an option. You could always wait list for it right at the 7 month window but make a back up reservation at SSR at 11 months just in case.

I would book SSR at 11 months and then waitlist for what you want if you can't switch at 7 months. That way you are one of the first on the wait lists. Whether it comes through or not is another matter. Good luck.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I'll probably make the reservation at ssr at 11 months then waitlist. I could also rent or transfer my points to someone who owns at BWV, would that increase my chances any?
