I was just curious, are certain times of the year easier to get your choice at 7 months. My home resort is BWV but I would like to try the other resorts too. I know that a lot of DVC members like to go when the crowds and points are low. So is peak season actually easier at 7 months, Thanks

This is kind of the inverse of what many people ask...which is "are there times of the year when it's hard to get 7 month reservations".

I'll start by saying that we've done reservations twice at the 7 month window at non-home resorts with no problem. Once was during the summer and once during Spring Break (a very busy time). We did call day by day for the second one.

Even though low point times are popular with DVC members, the peak times are still very busy as far as I can tell. Even with the high points, there are many willing to go during those times.

I think if you're flexible with your dates, or locations, or accommodations you can get reservations at the 7 month date most of the time. But if you have your heart set on a BWV Standard View during W&F Festival...well, you'd have to get pretty lucky.

September - sometimes early Nov - May - January -

now I have been lucky in March - but most DVC would avoid spring break - the crowds were pretty bad - but hey it is open late - so you go do early morning when the crowds get bad -go back to the resort - nap, swim, have a good time - then at night when everyone else is leaving go back. - worked fine!!!

Summer months - you can generally get - or I have been able too.

now if you have your heart set on the VWL or BCV for the first two weeks of December - forget it - very, very popular with DVC members - try it sometime and see if it is not your favorite time of the year, too. but you need to make your reservations in January!!!
