Sure there are times that you can't book at 7 months, but then there are times that you can. I had read so much about how it was almost impossible to book at 7 months, so when I called about booking a stay in January I was shocked to find out that all of the resorts had availability.
It is a good idea to buy where you want to stay and to be sure that you wouldn't be disappointed if you had to stay there in case you can't get anything else.
We bought at SSR and would love to stay there, but since there was availability elsewhere, there were a couple places we decided to try because we can always try SSR next time.
