7 month window today and trouble getting a studio at BCV

Decided to book a studio for BCV for April 29 to May 6 with more days to add. Checking today May 4th was already sold out. I hit search again and it was now available so I booked it. Went back and May 4 was sold out again, so I have so assume I got the last studio for that day. If I can't get the rest of my days I'll have to check other resorts. It does indeed get harder and harder to book at the 7 month window. I know there been several treads lately about people buying in hopes of booking these smaller resorts. I own 3 homes and generally do the 11 month window for some trips, but use the 7 month window for my late April early May trips. I'm flexible where I stay during this timeframe, but my DH wants BCV as his first choice. Hope I don't encounter additional holes in my reservations. Having to wait until 9:00am each day to call and add a day can be stressful.

Thanks for posting, I fear that would be buyers get the feeling that booking at 7 months isn't an issue after reading some of the DIS posts.

True that several factors determine availability but IMO booking is getting more competitive.

Just an update. Added another night this morning. Got right through no problem. It's going to be a long road of adding on days. Just wanted to mention that the night of Monday May 4th is still sold out and now Sunday May 3rd is also sold out. I have 9 more morning to call...ugh. I'm putting this out there to folks who are buying resorts they don't want to stay at in hopes of booking at the 7th month window...it gets harder each year to do this. I have 3 homes, but using my SSR points at the 7 month window right now. I'm saving my BLT and BWV points for other 2015 trips.

Thanks for posting your experience. I have noticed this as well. A few years ago I had no problems booking Beach or Boardwalk studios at seven months. Now it seems like the only time it's relatively easy to do so is during very slow periods. I usually book one bedrooms nowadays so it's a bit easier than when we booked only studios but I am sweating trying to get a one bedroom at Beach Club this coming May.

Also remember BCV are going through a refurb and they just started on the rooms last week when we were there. They were ripping out carpets and so forth so and I am not sure when it is suppose to be complete. Which can impacted the room availability.

Yipeeeeee! I'm so happy to hear this. Now I hope people post pics when rooms are completed!
