My 7 month window starts today. We own at SSR (which I love), but I want to try all the resorts at some point. I orginally wanted Animal Kingdom, but I think I may wait till the construction is complete.
So..then I was going to try for the Beach Club. I have 3 children, and we will be there for 6 days, and then go on the Wonder for 3. I like the BC because of SAB. I know it is the food and wine festival also, so it could be very hard to get a reservation there.
We are hoping to do the Hoop De Do musical review, MNSSHP, and of course Chef Mickey's which we do everytime. I was then looking at the Wilderness Lodge because of the boat transportation. Any suggestions??

Good luck on getting BCV.. I've tried to get ressies for the past two days with no luck. You might want to try the Wilderness lodge which is very convenient to the contemporary, fort wilderness, and MK. By the way...were you able to find the dates for MNSSHP

Keep us posted on what you switch too. I have a friend who wants to switch so will be watching how it goes.

When I called last week, they had several two bedrooms still available. Not sure about today, but they had a better choice over Animal Kingdom. I beleive they even told me the BWV had several available also. I will call today and post my results back and let you know. Maybe my decision won't be so hard if they are unavailable!! :confused3

There are unoffical dates released for MNSSHP, I don't know them all, but do a search and I am sure they will come up for you. Tickets are not on sale yet

I would love to know how it works out. We have reservations for SSR for Nov. 9-16th. I want to try and switch at seven months to BCV. We want a one bedroom. I am hoping we can switch. If we can't, that is fine too, we stayed at SSR last year and loved it. I just would like to be able to walk to Epcot!

Just finished talking with MS..I was able to get a one bedroom at BVC for a friday night exactly 7 months out but had to waitlist for the prior thurs and wed night. Boardwalk had availability so we're booked there for now.

Well so far so good, we got BC for the first night, and it looks good for the rest of the week..... hopefully.......

I wasnt sure where to go, but since I want to try all of them, this would be a great start!

I've just finished booking our stay
phoned everyday at openning
was able to get a 1 bedroom at the BCV for the first 6 nights and 3 at WLV in a studio

Good luck everyone

We have a 2 bdrm for October at SSR, i called today to see if they had any other 2 bedrooms for our week and no luck. All they had was OKW.
We might waitlist but I will be happy with SSR.

This is my forst year as a DVC owner and i guess the fall with Food and Wine is a very popular time at DVC.

I called today and got a 1 BD for 3 nights @ BWV prior to our original ressie at AKV. We had Developer's Pts to use, and there was only 1 night available at AKV (the very first)...we would have had to move multiple times (ugh), but then MS found 2 different 1 bd's at BW for the nights we wanted. We were wanting BW, but with all of the F&W users we didn't think it would be possible.

I start calling tomorrow to switch from 2 OKW studios to 2 BCV or BWV studios for my nieces and their families. Last week MS said they had limited studios at BCV but several at BWV. Good luck to everyone!

OMG!!

I called to get my 3rd night, we had it, and the cm wasn't fast enough and lost it!!!

I am so mad

No need to be mad. It's a busy time, and a very busy location for that time. Remember, you are calling at the 7 month window, not the 11. So where are you staying the 3rd night?

Well I decided to move the whole trip to the Wilderness Lodge. I was torn between the two resorts anyways. I would love to try the Beach Club, but maybe at a not so busy time. I would really someday like to try all of them.

They had more accomodations at the Wilderness Lodge for the week, plenty of two bedrooms, so hopefully that will stay the same so I can continue booking my trip. Now I have to do research on the Wilderness Lodge, since all my research has been on BC!!!!

BCV is most difficult during F&W because of its proximaty to Epcot. I don't think you'll have any problems at VWL.

The same thing happened to me. I had booked 3 days at BCV in a one bedroom. On the fourth day, it was available and then the CM tried to book but put in the wrong year and when she went back to put in the correct year, it was gone. So I did the last two nights in the BWV in a one bedroom and I am waitlisted for BCV. So we may be moving resorts, but I have wanted to try BWV anyway so I guess it's alright.

I think you will be happy at WLV with the ages of your children and the things you have planned to do. The boat transportation over to the MK for MNSSHP and Chef Mickeys will be a plus and you can always use it to get to the monorail to travel to EPCOT if you don't want to take the bus. There is a path to Fort Wilderness which might make for a nice outing one day also.
Hope you have a great trip.

I think we will have a great time at the Wilderness Lodge too. The ages of my children I think it perfect for the location that we are staying.
I have done lots of research since yesterday morning on the Wilderness Lodge and most seem to love it.

Oh, doesn't it stink, just when you thought you had it!!!! I hope your waitlist comes through!!!!
