First, I'd like to thank all for posting and sharing here - really a big help to me for planning our 2007 trip. This will be our first trip back home since joining DVC - have'nt been back to FL since our trip in 2000 staying at a value resort
Now - after 3 months of searching here , I think I'm ready to make our ressie for June 2007 - I would just like to share it and get some feedback - in case I miss something - would really appreciate any help ;)

travelling June 17-24,2007 - any idea how the crowds will be that time?
group of 10 - DF.DM, DH,me,DS13,DD11,Dsis,DB,DSIL,DN2T
will try SSR for 1 - 2bdrm villa and 1-Studio

I'll be calling to make ressie on Nov 24,2006 thats Fri after Thanksgiving - (we'll be in GC-DL ) but since ET all I need to do is get up early to call

I've been looking/searching and so far did'nt see anywhere that says they're close so assume open

Now for the 2bedroom at SSR - requesting a dedicated 2bdrm villa-chance of that? and also would like to know if there's studio near 2dbrm villa
Thinking of letting DB and family stay at the Studio - is there a portable playard/crib for a 2y toddler? I'm reading also that a lot of ppl bringing their own sheets ? any reason for that? - don't think I'd like to haul a luggage full of sheets - wont have room for my souvenirs

Saw a post that SSR gets a dedicated bus service and glad to learn that - now have to choose which bldg to stay at - prefer first stop of bus - would that be the Paddocks? and is that also the one closest to DTD?

We'll be using ME - so will call them when we get our tickets - any suggestions of which airlines from the BayArea, CA and also fr Vancouver,BC ( DF,DM) - i remembered we used Delta in 2000 but dont think would like to use them w the recent news

DDP - since we wont have car - dont think its gonna work for us - dont like to rush jst to go eat and that would also mean I have more work to do planning ADR :teeth: and also we plan to go KennedySpaceCenter for one day (they have pick-up/drop-off at disney hotel tour) so will pass

Park tickets - so far saw from my DSis company corporateperks - 4 days ticket + 3days free limited time offer $238.00+tx so I think we'll go ahead and purchase it or are there any other better deals ;)

Hope we get our request/ressie -we're celebrating lots for this trip - DS graduating fr middle school w honors :thumbsup2, Fathers Day for DF,DH,DB; then June 20 DF/DM 41st wedding anniv.

TIA
Rose

MS will be open the Friday, Nov 24, after thanksgiving.

you should be able to get a dedicated 2-bedroom for June. I would ask for the studio to be dedicated too (this might be harder)

they can be in the same building - but won't count of the units being closer than that.

on the beds at Disney they only use top sheets - no bottom sheets - some people like the bottom sheet so they bring their own.

if you are trying to put 5 (or 4 with 2 kids who won't sleep together) in a 1-bedroom - besides the air mattress you would need to bring sheets and pillows for that extra bed.

not sure about which bus stops is first - but Paddocks looks like it will be first - that is until they open the next units - which I think they will by June.

the buildings close to DD is Congress Park. Very nice area - my favorite. (okay the only one I have stayed at).

lately I only fly SW and I don't think it flies to your area.
but you can look
www.southwest.com

DDP-my attitude why have a full kitchen and not use the thing. (of course I have food allergies)

tickets - sign up for this place email
www.ticketmania.com and
www.mousesavers.com

right now I think ticketmania special rates can beat it - but soon they are charging for shipping.

Really appreciate it - specially link to ticketmania - more choices and cheaper since tax included in quoted price :thumbsup2 Thanks!

I would pick the springs last pickup. Get on the bus and off to the parks, last stop on the way home alittle longer but not a problem.. the bus service was awesome we didn't have a wait longer then 5 minutes our whole time there.

We stayed in the springs buildings first week of nov this year. #3727 2 bedroom dedicated and # 3732 next door studio worked out great. Close to the bus stop and 30 second walk to the pool, turf club and artist palette (sp?).

i used gardengrocer.com for food delivery and it was great on time everything I asked for and alcohol. They azlso said they would drop it off at the bell hop if we weren't in our room.

We used the sheets there at SSR no problems, they didn't even bunch up like alot of these people complain about that bring there own sheets. And we saw a crib in each of the rooms closets.

Loved SSR, this was our first time home. Would stay at the Springs again and again. Can also walk to the boat to DTD no problem maybe 5 min walk tops

have fun

Any other questions let me know

Thanks, Njogre - will make a note of the room numbers and bldg. and try to request it , also been seeing lots of people using gardengrocer so will have my brother check the site out and let him decide - glad I'm done with that :) cribs/diapers/milk . . .
