7 month window question

I have two resort contracts that I would like to use together at one of the resorts. My question is if I make the reservation for the days I can with that resort being my home, what day can I add onto it with my 7 month points? 7 months from the first day of my trip or 7 months from the day I’m trying to add on? Thanks!

Here is a tip...

You can book the start of your trip with home resort points. When the first day of your trip becomes available at 7 months book it with your non-home resort points for as many days as you can and cancel the days booked with home resort points and book the first day(s) not already booked with your home resort points. This will keep you from having to wait extra days to book and will allow you the best chance of getting the room at the 7 month mark. If one on of the days is not available skip and leave it book with home resort points. Repeat until you have all nights you need.

Side note: if there is a specific day you think may be more difficult to get at 7 months (holiday, RunDisney event...) book that with home resort points even if it is not the start of your stay.
