7 Month Window - Dumb Question

Good morning guys! Really dumb question that I should know the answer too, but does the "7 month window," and I guess tangentially the 11 month window, mean you can book your first or last day of the vacation 7 months from that days date? The reason that I ask Is I was playing around on the RAT yesterday, and it looked like it was going to let me make a booking, not at my home resort, that went from May 29-31. I was surprised but I'm not sure if it would have stopped me before I actually booked it, and I didn't want to actually book then cancel because I would have had to borrow points.

You can book up to 7 nights at 11 (home resort)/7 (other DVC resorts) months out from arrival date. Many years ago the rule was different, allowing one to book only 11/7 months out from date of departure from WDW.
