7-month window date & MK resort WL choices

Next week is my 7-month mark and hoping to switch the first 2 nights of my October ressie to a MK resort. Check-in date for current ressie is Monday 10/12. Do I call exactly on the 12th at 9:00 am? Am assuming there no way to do a switch for partial days online (don't want to risk messing up the rest of our week at BWV with a boardwalk view But if there is a better way to do it online how do I do that and at what time? Finally - if I can't get what I want, which of these do you think would have the best chance of coming through on a waitlist? There is some availability showing now but am sure that will change over the next week.

In order of preference:

- 1 BR at VGF (any view)
- 1 BR at BLT (pref MK or Lake view)
- 2 studios at Poly (would want to connect, pref lake view)

If you have the points available, check online at 8:00 AM Eastern for availbility at Poly, BLT, VGF, or VWL and book that for the two days you need. Then at 09:00, call or chat with MS; or e-mail MS to cancel the first two days on your previous reservation.
If you require the points that are in use by the current reservation, then you have to have MS do the change to the current reservaton first before booking the new reservaton.
I would be looking at the resort availibility on the website to "see" which resort has an opening that you would like then take that instead of setting up a WL.

Got what I wanted - thanks for the online 8:00 am strategy! Happy to be now be staying at VGF for the two days/nights we will at MK, then switching over to BWV. Any recommendations of general building sections/floors for the best standard 1BR views - believe there are rooms that overlook GF grounds (rather than parking lot or monorail) and possibly even fireworks in the distance?
