How to swap resorts at 7 months?

We currently have a booking at VGF but would like to swap to PVB at 7 months. How do I do that? Do I have to call member services? If so, what's to stop someone else nabbing the room online before?

Now you can see why buying where you want to stay and booking at 11 months can be important.

You can cancel online and book new online. You might lose the new reservation.

You can call MS an hour later, have them cancel and book new. You might lose the new reservation.

You can buy more points to allow you to book the new, then cancel the old.

I am sure you have reasons to switch "from" VGF, but MAN..... people die to get those reservations

I have done this twice using two different browsers (FireFox and Safari) on the same computer and both times it has worked for me. Obviously I cannot guarantee it will work for everyone, I just wanted to chime in that it has worked for me in the past.

I know people die over VGF, I've stayed there twice now and I completely know why, I just fancied trying out the new PVB. But damn, I'm gonna make someone's day when I cancel those nights
