7 month chances November 17-23, 2013

I am planning a trip November 17-23, 2013 and will book my home resort at 11 months. Does anyone have any experience with what could possibly be available at the 7 month window? We are SSR owners and would love to try somewhere else. We could do either a studio or 1 bedroom.

Thanksgiving week is very popular. IMO, your chances are about 50/50. You may need to waitlist.

Best chance is to be online at 8 am Eastern, ready to book as soon as the 7 month window opens. If you have to cancel the SSR reservation to make the reservation at another resort, your chances are not as good as they will be if you can just book immediately.

If you do not have enough points to hold both reservations for a few minutes without borrowing, consider not reserving SSR at 11 months. Unless you want a THV, it is unlikely that you would be shut out for SSR at 7 months if you need a back up reservation.

I was fortunate enough to get BLT lake view for this Noveber 18-23rd. I own at OKW. good luck

In 2013, Thanksgiving is Nov 28, so you should be okay for the week you are thinking about.

I think you will be ok for that time. We've been pretty fortunate at getting some choices 7 months out. Even if you had to waitlist a night, I still think you have a pretty good chance.

OP - I think you have a good chance of getting a resort other than SSR for that week.
