7 month booking window at BWV

Hi.

Just started thinking about the 7 month window. All of our points are at BCV but I was wondering how difficult is it to secure a reservation at BWV at the 7 month point? When we bought in Sept. '02 the 7 month vs. the 11month issue wasn't presented as a big deal relative to availability but maybe it is.

Do you think there will be a problem getting a reservation at BCV for people who have other home resorts once it sells out?

It depends upon when you want to go - Dec is hard for all the DVC resort - low points, low crowds and the place is decorated.

the food/wine festavial in Oct/Nov at Epcot would made both BCV and BWV harder to get. so should the flower/garden at Epcot in May.

September should be easy. the summer was easier - it just depends upon how many members have children that must go then. Or they work in the educational system themselves and can't go during spring break or holidays.

Yes once BCV is sold out - it will be just as hard as BWV to get into - if not harder - there are less rooms.

if you are trying for a standard view at BWV in the 7month time - I would definitely try September (after labor day).

I just opened todays mail, and my wait list for a 1 BR Std view for the 2nd week of Aug just came through. So there is always hope. This will be our 2nd trip to BWV, both times we were wait listed and it worked.

My advice would be is to book at your home resort at the 11 month window and then try to change at the 7 month. Thats what we did for 10 days in May at the BCV...our home resort for most of our points is BWV. Good luck.
