I can't imagine that our family is the only one that has success in booking at 7 months. I keep reading that it is fact that booking at 7 month is getting harder, and I have not experienced this. Not saying there are not some incidents but I just don't think at this time it is that wide spread.

Anyone else book at 7 months without problems? We don't even book day by day or wait list.

We have gotten all the summer months, spring break and the fall at 7 months?

Any others with success at 7 month booking.

I tried switching from a one bedroom to a studio for early December at OKW this afternoon, no luck, but it is 5 month out.

I didn't go on a waitlist, as it wasn't that important, I was trying to save a few points to get a 2 bedrom next June, as we'll be traveling with guests, but I booked us into two studios instead.

Book as early as possible for best success.

I had no problem at all booking at OKW for November at six months, but I'm sure I would have been in trouble if I'd been trying to book early December.

We have had success booking at BWV in the summer (PV-Water/garden) and OKW at 7 months...no day by day.

What resorts did you get spring break at 7 months at? No wait list?

We've never had any problems at 7 months--except having to waitlist 1 night a few years back, and that was at VB. The waitlist came through in less than a week.

We've never been really able to plan 11 months out, but have never been disappointed with what we've experienced at the 7 month (and all too often, the 7 week!) window :thumbsup2

Our Spring Break is in March and we had our choice of locations at 7 months for a 2 bedroom dedicated. Maybe other room categories are harder to get, but we have not experienced problems at 7 months with a 2 bedroom.

We booked 7 months out for a 2BR at BCV for this past June without a problem. :sunny:

At 7months out I was able to book a BWV-standard view-stuido for 12/23-12/26(Prime time in my opinion...but those dates are over a W/E)...I have since upgraded to BWView...but am still waitlisted 26-29th.

I booked a pref BW studio a week or two ago for September 16-21. Did not have to waitlist any of my days.

We got BCV studio the first week in Oct. I called day by day and was suprised I didn't have to wait list until we decided to add a night an even then the waitlist came through later that day.

It's all relative. Some things have been difficult for some time at 7 months and others will likely never be. What has happened is that the curve has shifted. What and when do you normally book? Is spring break in a 2 BR it. Is your spring break easter week? Even Easter isn't usually that difficult due to the higher points. Those of us who know and use the system will likely almost always be successful even for the most difficult of options.

Depends on the time of year.

We own at SSR, but were able to book Boardwalk for this past April less than 7 months out. I got Boardwalk last September only a couple of months out (I did have to waitlist, but it came through). I got Beach Club May of last year.

I was able to get HH for Thanksgiving this year (as did two other families that we are friends with...although one had to do a Studio for 2 of the nights and are waitlisted for a 1 BR)

I rented some points for the end of December through New Years and could only get SSR for the Renter. I have waitlisted for BWV and BCV but my guess is that they won't be able to get it.

During peak times, it may be tough to get at the 7 month window....but it is possible....especially if you waitlist right away.

We're waitlisted for one night (a weekend night which I can't hardly believe) for October at VWL. I've never had it happen before. Amazing. Usually weekends are always there on points. Certain times of the year for certain resorts are getting harder unless you book early.

And there was actually more availability at BWV than at SSR (our home). We had wanted to stay in our home resort our first trip, but wound up with 4 nights there and 1 at BWV. It was all good, and I have no complaints about it whatsoever; I want to eventually try them all anyway, so wherever they want to put us is just fine, as long as there's room somewhere! :thumbsup2

We usually travel over Easter week or the beginning of August. Never had a problem.

I made reservations for the first week of January at a little less than 6 months out. There was availability at every resort except for the night of January 1st (surprise, surprise). I did not want to switch resorts, so I booked SSR for all the days and wait listed WVL just in case it opens up. If I had thought about going ahead of time, I'd have thought ahead and booked January 1st as soon as possible (poor planning on my part for sure) - I'm very glad I was able to reserve January 1st at all!

Most people here booked during times that are not really popular, such as January and September. I booked at BWV at 11 months out for the week before Christmas and the week of Christmas, BW view. At this point in July, I am still waiting for the 19th and 20th and the 26th. I am waiting for a 2 bedroom BW view, and there are not many of those. My waitlist for the nights has come thru 1 day at a time, but I've been on the waitlist since January. I should ultimately get those nights, but in the mean time I am chewing my nails.

Correct. For best results, try to travel when you don't want to go.

We booked @ WL 11 months out, then waitlisted day by day @ BCV @ 7 month for Columbus Day.

Took awhile but, BC came thru & we cancelled the WL...can't wait to check out SAB.

I've been able to thus far keep a surplus of points to cover 2 simultaneous res. until what I want comes thru. Too chicken to rely on waitlisting for the whole week.

Feel like I'm playing a game of chess as opposed to making accomodation res.

I also booked OKW in July at two months out with no wait list. :goodvibes
