7 Month Booking Question

Since we have never needed to book exactly seven months out, I was not able to answer this question for a friend.

If you are booking seven months out and want to call exactly on the first day, does MS go by the date you are wanting to book and exclude the actual number of days in some months, being 30, 31 and 28?

Or do they actually count back that many actual days.

I hope that is clear, for example if the first day of the trip you wanted to book was August 17th, what would be the first day you can call? I know if you want to book the entire trip in one call you have to call for the last day.

I just was not sure how precise the 7 month counting is.

My understanding is it's 7 months from depart day so Aug 17 depart (or begin if day by day booking )would be Jan 17th .

If your 7 month booking month ends on the 28th or 30th and the dates you are booking are the 31st then you can book up to that date as the next booking date would be the 1st.

Thanks, the difference in days in a month was the confusing part. That makes sense though about booking on the 31st.

If the trip starts on Aug 17th, then they could call on January 18th since that would be 7 months from the "checkout" date of Aug 18th. They would call again on Jan 19th to amend the reservation to add the night of Aug 18th, and continue calling each day to add another night until the trip is complete. Since MS isn't open on Sunday, they would add two nights to the reservation on Monday's call.
