7 month booking question - BWV & BCV

How difficult is it to book these at the 7 month window for May...

1) BWV
a) Studio - Standard View
b) 1 Brm - Standard View

2) BCV
a) Studio
b) 1 Brm

There is no exact number to give, but May is probably one of the easier times to book at 7 months out. What does easier mean? I'd say you would be successful 75% of the time or more. With a better chance for the BCV than the BW std. Again, that's just a guess, but that's all any of us really have.

Agree with childsplay - although I put your chances at 7 months for a standard view in May at 50/50. Call day by day to have the best chance. Studios are harder to book than 1 bedrooms.

Can't imagine you would have problems getting BCV or BWV -Preferred View (Pool/Garden) for May if you book at 7 months.

When in May?

Schools in the south start getting out mid-May which can make a difference.

Based on what I have seen here, I would put Standard View at less then 50/50. Folks book those early due to the point savings!

To be more specific, the best time for us is April 16th - May 31st. As an Accountant, tax season is very demanding on my family and we all need some quality time together ASAP after the April 15th deadline.

But what I've heard so far has me feeling very optimistic about getting into BCV & BWV (during that time period) so long as we're flexible with our room views, and willing to call day by day. Thanks for the responses.

I just got done booking for my late April early May trip (12 nights). I wanted BWV-standard studio. I called day by day. I ended up on the wait list for 3 different days, and that was calling prompting at 9:00AM each day MS was openned. The good news is that I got 11 of the 12 nights I wanted. The bad news, I'm still waitlisted for one night right in the middle of the trip. I've been waitlisted for 4 weeks now. After I was done with my day by day, I called and booked a backup ressie and on the 7th month check out day I asked what was available and pretty much everything (except BWV-standard studio rooms). I booked the BCV-studio for the 12 nights no problem. Fortunately for me I have lots of points that I can tie up almost 400 points to do this. I only plan to hold the second ressie until January 2007, that is when I need to book my August trip and want to use my SSR-banked points that I'm using for my May trip. So, yes, availability is there for early May, but BWV-standard rooms are the hardest to get.

May is my favorite time to visit. I have never had a problem getting ressies @ the BWV and VWL during that time. Also...I have added on extra days, multiple times, within 2-3 mos. of my original ressie with no problem.

Am I lucky?? Don't know, but I believe that lots of people cancel ALL the time...Good Luck !

The OP was asking about standard view rooms at the BWV in May - I agree that getting a PV (pool/garden) room at the BWV in May would not be a problem at 7 months, but getting a standard view sure could be.

Please post again if you were talking about getting a STANDARD view for May. If you've not ever had a problem getting a SV, that would be a surprise to me as I think it it is more of a 50/50 proosition at best.

This has been our experience too. Really never had any problems as long as we are flexible in were we will stay.

I just booked a 1 BR standard view for a late May (the week of Memorial Day) stay at BWV yesterday at 7 months (give or take a day).

I'm a happy camper

My sister got a 2 bedrm boardwalk view at BWV for May 13th thru the 18th at the 7 month with no problems.

Last Memorial Day weekend I had my choice of BW view or Standard view studios.
I took the Boardwalk View.

I just switched over from VWL for this coming Memorial Day weekend to a standard view studio with no problem (wanted to save points so turned down the BW view)

As a BWV owner, we always ask for a std or bdwlk view at 11 months. I suspect other owners do this as well. That might explain why there is spotty availability at/after the 7mo mark.
