7-Month Booking Failures

OK, everyone. Let's hear about those failures when trying to book at 7 months. Doesn't matter if it is your Home resort or not.

Ground Rules: There is only one--please only reply if you called to book the room within one week of the start of the 7-month booking window.

called for mid jan 05 right at 7 month mark. called day by day

so for us, we are 0-2 in trying for our first choice

I tried to book at BWV, 1 BR BW view at exactly 7 months. Not available at that time.
Yes, I waitlisted. Most days came through a few weeks later. Last day came through after about 3 months on waitlist.

Wow, it doesn't sound like very many positive experiences at the 7 month window so far. At least not with 1st choice. Hopefully some people with 7 month, 1st choice, success stories will be heard from soon!

If you'll read the first post, I was specifically looking for members who did NOT get their room. I'm sure there are thousands and thousands of success stories sitting out there.

You're right, sorry! I guess I should say I hope there are not too many people with 7 mos dissapointments then!

After every one of these experiences I added on at that resort... Hasnt happened Since!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe they knew I would add on and did it on prupose...

In 8/2000 I was able to secure the Beach Cottage at 7 months booking day by day. I guess more people are catching on to how great Vero Beach is!

Room size / category: 2 bedroom

I called day by day and had no problems.


Also, last year I booked BCV at the 7 month window.
Resort: BCV
Approximate dates: 8/20-8/23
Room size/category: 2 bedroom

For this one I did not call day by day and did not have a problem making the reservation.

I guess it depends on the resort and the time of year that you want to travel.

Both of these were attempted to book exactly at the 7 month mark. The Spring Break one I was even trying to do on a day-by-day basis and had no luck.
