7 mo at WLV

In case this has been asked many times before I apologize. I have been a DVC member (OKW) since 97 and always stay there. However next June we plan to take my brother's family to WDW and the boys have their heart set on WLV. I especially want to fulfill this wish since the little one (5 years old) is just finishing up chemotherapy for a rare form of cancer. Fortunately the treatments were mostly precautionary, but it has been a trying year. Anyway, I'm wondering how difficult will it be to get a 2br at WLV in late June 7 mo. out. Any advice? Thanks in advance for your help.

I know this doesn't exactly fit your situation, but I was able to get reservations for Oct. at the 7 month window with no trouble, we also got a studio. Don't know about availability of other sizes since our October trip will be our first as DVC members. From all I've read, mostly on this board, the VWL sound great and I get more anxious by the day!

I was able to successfully convert over our OKW reservation to VWL... I called day by day to convert the 12 night reservation... I called as soon as MS opened... on some of those days, if I'd called at noon, I would have been out of luck... talk about pressure LOL.... This is for a December reservation.... Good luck getting the reservation, I'd say you've got a really good chance at it!

How about posting your request on the rent/trade board?

Maybe a willing VWL owner would be interested in trading 11 month priority reservations for an OKW (?grand villa) vacation. Depending on length of stay, weekends, and season you should be able to negotiate a fair trade for both of you.

I'm planning on going down next year 6/29 - 7/5 and will be reserving a 2bedroom. NOw I own at VWL, but I'm planning on trying to transfer those first 3 nights to BWV at the 7 month window. Which means I'd call on 12/2 to try to transfer those days. Now if I'm successful on that morning, my two bedroom would open up for you. HOpefully you'll be the one to get those days!!!!!
