7 Mile beach grand cayman

We would like to relax at the beach... Any resort recomendation?

I think we stayed at the Westin during the day and it was great. Just paid for a day pass so we could use the facilities.

We had planned to do Royal Palms, but had to back out.

Not for this reason, but I'll just point out for others, they have a pool there also, but it's adult only, if you have kids.

How was getting there? That's what's making me nervous about planning an excursion to be honest...

We grabbed a cab right after we got off the boat so we could maximize our time at the hotel pool and beach. (Think it was a 5-10 min ride.) We had our 2 year old DD with us and she loved to play on the beach and also in the pool.

We set up with the same cab to pick us up at the hotel an hour before all ashore so we had plenty of time to get back to the boat.

We've taken a public bus (think van) to the Public Beach at 7 Mile Beach before and hung out at a beach club across from the bus stop. It certainly wasn't a resort, but it was fun. I can't remember the name of the place, but it sounds like you are looking for more a day pass to a resort.

We took the city bus because it was cheaper and quicker. I understand that the taxis wait for every seat to be filled before they depart. In fact we saw a taxi near our bus stop waiting for more passengers as we stepped onto our city bus.

It sounds like others have given you a couple of good choices. Local transportation to get to those places should be fairly easy.

We had a van taxi for 3 of us and it wasnt full and the cab driver didnt wait for it to be full.

It's all simple. I was nervous too, so we only did the Duck, but once I saw the layout of the island I felt silly for being nervous.
