7 hour wait for Anna & Elsa?!?!?!

So on one of the blogs I follow of Facebook, they said at one point yesterday the wait for Anna & Elsa was at 7 hours!! That is absolutely insane! Who on earth would waste their entire day for that? Another thing quite a few people were saying was that they are booking early morning breakfasts and no showing (and paying the fee) and waiting at the roped off area so they can make a run for it when that area is opened up. There is no way Disney hasn't caught on to this. We have only skipped a res. once (sheer exhaustion lol), but can't imagine if they raise the fee because of what's been happening.
And as a mother of a frozen fan family I can't imagine the disappointment when you tell your kids you are not waiting 7 hours in line.

oh. my. gosh. 7 hours? Someone should whisper to the adults in those groups that it's not actually the real Anna and Elsa... They are 2 college aged girls, DRESSED up as Anna and Elsa, making $10 an hour. Sheesh.

Those families are spending more $ to stand in line for 7 hours than those 2 girls are making in 7 hours...

But I guess where is the fun in that? Don't mean to be a party pooper..

My daughter is obsessed with Anna and Elsa. There is no way we are wasting an entire day at the parks to see them. WDW is not a common trip so it seems like such a waste to do it. I really wish they would put princesses like Anna and Elsa in the princess character breakfast!! I men Arkushus is in Norway!!

That's not the kind of info Disney publicizes. Tends to ruin the magic for certain guests as you may imagine.

If they were really interested in guest service, it would be 4 meeting rooms until the fad dies down.

Think how you (anyone reading this) would address this situation if it was under your job responsibility.

Thanks - understand and not expecting an official announcement or anything. But I know how when ETWB was coming out there were a lot of reports/studies about the multiple rooms, etc. and I never heard/read anything like that related to Fairytale Hall so just didn't realize it

In ETWB's case, you could make the argument that Belle alternates between libraries as they are loaded (in fact, that may even be true--haven't thought about it much). That's a bit less traumatic to the younger set that a princess went all Orphan Black on them.

We were in Norway yesterday after riding Maelstrom and Anna/Elsa walked right past us in the gift shop. My 16 year old was thrilled! One mom told me the wait was 3 hours. The kids were wilting in line waiting. It was kind of sad actually.

Okay, I guess I'll be the first one to say it. About the characters I've seen so far on video, there is nothing even remotely similar to Anna and Elsa, except the costume. These girls have no similar mannerisms, actions, voice patterns, dialogue, aren't the same size, nothing. Not even close to being worth standing in line for more than 20 minutes.

I have to say taking my 5 yr old to see any of these girls in costume (that I've seen so far) would spoil (for my daughter) any idea that these characters even exist somewhere out there.

Not to be harsh but I saw wayyy better characters at DLR (not speaking of Anna and Elsa though). I know their talent pool is better, but still...

I agree. I think I'm going to leave my 20 y/o dd in WDW in June. She is a perfect Anna...same color hair that would braid beautifully. Many freckles. She is a klutz. It's almost as if Disney followed her for a week and then based Anna on her! Too bad she's 5'10"... Sure going to limit which characters she can be friends with when she heads south after college.

We were in the parks at the beginning of this month and I was hearing reports of 5 hour long waits. It was being called the "daddy line." Basically, sacrifice one member of your group to the line while others go experience the area and join in when the line has moved. Thank goodness for cell phones to facilitate that, yes? All I could think about was the spike in my blood pressure if I'd waited for any length of time and at the last minute, discovered that the one person I'd been waiting behind was the placeholder for seven, which would of course multiply the amount of time I still had to wait for my turn. I'm just that person, though. It always annoys me when a group sends an emissary.

Moving the princesses to a location designed to manage it, is a much better idea. Soon, it will take effect. In the meantime, I passed. (Which is too bad...I'm of Swedish descent and these princesses are my heritage in Disney form. I'd be effective as their mother though.)

Oh my goodness. That's the Frozen sequel! The lost at sea parents find their way home, Elsa gets to experience some fun in her life, and Anna moves away to train reindeer! (Dibs on this idea, Disney. If you steal it I get royalties.)

It was 5.5 last weekend.

On Sunday they will move to MK, there will be fastpasses, and there will likely be more than one pair that are available for meeting at one time (although guests won't notice that) and this situation will be over. You might still hit a 2 to 3 hour line sometimes though, I'm betting.

Because of the lack of space for the throngs at the Norway pavilion, the CMs there have been actually suggesting that one party member wait in line and the others go do something else. I'm not sure, have never been and pretty sure will never go but Anna at least seems pretty close I thought. Often sounds almost exactly like her and kinda acts like her as well IMO. Her eyes aren't 1/3 the size of her head I guess.

Just watched this video and Anna seemed pretty spot on. But Elsa????? First, isn't she too old? And seemed like no personality at all. Just didn't seem authentic at all. And people are waiting 3, 5, 7 hours for that?

My 9-year-old DD, who loved Frozen, said exactly the same thing. My 5-year-old, who constantly sings her own version of Let it Go, was thrilled to see them on the float passing by in the parade, but there is no way I would wait in line for hours or make my poor DH give up his entire day at the park.
