7 flights, 6 hotels, 1 cruise ship and a major stuff up...brace yourself UPDATE!

I think my DH would rather go to Bunnings than WDW. :rotfl:

I shouldn't complain, he took me to Hamilton Island last weekend for our BIG Wedding Anniversary :lovestruc:

Mmmmmm, Bunnings sausage sandwich.... :cloud9:

Andona

so how was Hamilton island?????? warmer than here I bet!

and I'm sure they put crack in the sausage sandwiches, making you want to go back for more:rotfl:

LOL I'm sure it was warmer than where I am right now :thumbsup2

And speaking of crack, I'm pretty sure some of the people that I know are on it, some of their Faceache statuses are :scratchin

So, I bought a new toothbrush to put in my suitcase :lmao:

It's all I got right now LOL

It was beautiful, warm and sunny. Took me three days to thaw out...and then we came home again

Now i'm just counting down the days (66!) to 30+ degrees in Florida! :cloud9:

I can't be sure about the sausage sandwiches but I do think there was speed in the sugar - the local cockatoos kept pinching it off the cafe tables! :rotfl:

Did you read the thread about the avian thieves at WDW? :scared1:
Birds don't worry me but if they're taking food out of my hands uninvited i'll be :furious:
But reading it was a bit funny :rotfl2:

Spending the day printing out our stuff, so much stuff!
I did figure out how to not print every damn page to not waste too much ink, I don't want to run out :p

Printed out our Disneyland vouchers :hyper: oh I love that place ::yes::

I should get dressed, off to the osteo this afternoon, just in time for her to fix my back before I go and wreck it at work again tomorrow

DS is playing Thomas the tank in his playroom, and I can hear him nattering away to himself in an American accent :joker:

Thanks Karen :flower3:
Yesterday was better, today is the last day of my week, it should be ace!

By Tuesday I will be at 8 weeks even!
Still looking for a deal on NYC accom, so exxy!

I'm holding out hoping for a price drop...hope it doesn't take a hike up

A great day at home (sort of) with my family.
I still can't decide what to do about NYC accom, book now or not?
Apparently it's busy there in Sept and Oct so the rates are still pretty high.
I'm looking at Hotwire, betterbidding, lastminutetravel, Expedia and the rates are all over the place.
The WDW package is almost paid off, then we can really start cranking up the travel card, so excited to have free dining though, such a good saving.
Still haven't booked any cruise excursions either, I'm not even that fussed about them :duck:

try priceline, name your own rate....i use it quite a bit..works well ....and you do get about 40% off rack rate on average.

60 sleeps for me
everything paid off now:thumbsup2

The only thing concerning me with Priceline is there being 3 of us, so if we don't get a double room we're sharing a bed :scared: :rotfl2:

most hotel rooms in the US have either 2 queens or 2 doubles..also i hear the bath tubs are comfy:stir:

and if worse comes to worse, they have roll up beds..or buy a cheap sleeping bag and you can sleep on the floor:duck:

LOL bathtub (I just got flashbacks of using a basin as an esky for an in room party we had in Phoenix oh to be young again)

the kid would love to sleep on the floor!

oh to be that close to a trip :)

we also have no intention of booking tours/excursions for our cruise - we plan on doing one excursion only and our other days will be spent on ship or just wandering around close to the ship.

good luck with your trip planning :) i also found nyc to be a real pain to try and plan/book for and the prices there are so, so $$$ for such tiny, tiny rooms :scared:

sorted, just call housekeeping and ask for 2 more blankets and a pillow, comfy cosy on the floor.....and young backs can cope with that..its an adventure:thumbsup2

kids can sleep hanging upside down in a busy train station:rotfl:

I just broached the idea with the delightful DH and when I said we could probably save $100's his eyes lit up like a little Christmas tree (he was probably thinking "Golf clubs").
