We had used up our TS credits with our lunch at Coral Reef. We had 3 CS credits left. We decided to have dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express in Downtown Disney. The last time we were there I remembered the portions being so large and feeling like we ate and ate and still had alot left over, but thinking it was really good.
When we got there, there was no line and we went right up and ordered. I got the rotisserie chicken, but with the seasoned fries as a side instead of the garlic mashed potatoes. My son ordered the chicken tenders and fries. We got a brownie and a chocolate chunk cookie as our desserts. The last time we were there we had enjoyed eating outside, but it was just too hot so we took a seat inside. Shortly after we sat down there was a long line to order so it looked like we got there just in time. But we still had to wait awhile until they brought our order out, but on the other hand it's a nice to change to be waited on with a CS meal. The servings were just as large as I remembered. The rotisserie chicken was very good, the fries too. The chicken tenders in my sons meal were humongous. I mean they would have been huge in an adult meal, much less a kid's meal. He didn't couldn't even eat all of one tender, and he had some fries. We both agreed the brownie was fairly tasteless, but the cookie was very good.
After dinner, we had some snack credits to burn and went to Goofy's Candy Co. I decided to get a chocolate sandwich cookie covered with milk chocolate, chocolate chips, Reese's pieces and mini M&Ms. My son ordered marshmallows covered with milk chocolate and chocolate chips. Strangely, neither one of us was that happy with what we'd ordered and liked each other's better. I'm not normally a marshmallow person, but this was very good. We only ate a little though, we were too full from dinner. I wish that they hadn't taken away the crushed Reese's peanut butter cups, that was my favorite topping there.
And of course my son wanted us to take home Rice Krispy Mickey, but had to be contented with me just taking a picture of it to remember it.
This was the end of our last full day in Disney. We were both pretty tired by this point, very full, and my son was crying that he didn't want to go home and wanted to stay in FL. He wanted to know who he needed to talk to about so he could get a job there. I told him I didn't think Disney would violate labor laws by hiring a 7 year old, but he was willing to give it a try.
We used up our last CS credit the next morning at breakfast. My son's stomach was a little off and I just got us both toast instead of our usual cinnamon rolls. He had his toast plain, I wanted some butter. Why don't they have butter at the food courts, why do they only have margarine? I also had one snack credit left and got a yogurt with that.
And that was the end our trip. I collected all the receipts to keep track of to see how what we ate fared against the cost of the
DDP, but then haven't actually done it. I figured we just about broke even. If it wasn't for those Universal days where we had lunch at those parks, we would have used those CS credits for lunch at Disney on those days and made better use of them than the credits we used for breakfast. But I do like the DDP for the convenience if nothing else. Our favorite TS meals were Chef Mickeys and SciFi. We also really enjoyed Tusker House for breakfast, it's a really good meal all around. Coral Reef was very enjoyable and T-Rex too, which I wish was on the DDP. I can't say we had any really bad meals. The food at Crystal Palace was just eh, but the character interaction was very good. 1900 Park Fare was the opposite, not so great character interaction, but the food was tasty. We'll be back to Crystal Palace, but for breakfast the next time, but we'll give a pass to 1900 PF. I have on our radar for next time to try Whispering Canyon Cafe and Raglan Road in addition to some of our favorites. So much yummy food, so little time.
