See a theme here? We decided to listen to the wonderful DISers and stick to the Burger and Fries! I'm glad we did. They were good, pricey but good. The atmosphere was great. Definetly a unique dining experience. The one thing that really suprised me was how quiet it was. I mean really quiet. I guess I just wasn't expecting that, but it was nice. Definetly the quietest meal of the trip. Oh, I don't want to forget to say that the choc shake was wonderful. DS was sitting in the booth in front of us so DH tried to hide it from him.

POP CENTURY Supper
DH - Cheese steak wrap w/ fries
Me - Chicken Penne Alfredo, Mickey Rice Crispy w/ choc
DS - Chicken and Fries, Tie Dye cheese cake

We were tired after Fantasmic so we decided just to go back to the resort to eat. The food was OK. DH liked his, mine was just OK. DS liked his, his cheese cake was good.

Would we eat here again? For convenience, yes

My DH and felt the same way about SCI-FI -- After a noisy, hot morning in the park, the quiet atmosphere and low lights were a welcome break. And the burgers, onion rings and shakes. Yum!

CHEF MICKEY Breakfast
DH, Me, DS - It's a buffet, we ate everything!

We liked this place 2 years ago and nothing changed for this year. It's a great fun atmosphere and my DS loves it. He was so looking forward to doing that towel thing. Character interaction was great! We sat in the same room as we did last time (the one straight back from the enterance). The food was good..... well as good as you get with buffets (not a big fan of them).

Would we eat there again? Yes, definetly for breakfast!


COSMIC RAYS Lunch
DH - Burger and Fries, Carrot Cake
Me - Chicken and Rib Combo, Choc Cake
DS - Chicken and Fries, apple sauce

I just had to eat here again since I loved it 2 years ago! So after all the anticipation Cosmic Rays was a big let down. DH burger was just OK, my chicken was dry and not very flavorful (last time it was very moist and had a great taste), the Ribs weren't bad. The desserts, as we saw with most CS places were just OK but nothing fantastic. DS liked his Chix and Fries, which is typical......kids just don't distinguish between good ones and bad ones! They just love them because they're chix and fries!

KONA
DH - Sticky Wings, Asain Noodles, White Choc Cheesecake
Me - Mahi Mahi, Daquari NO alcohol, pina colada mixed w/ strawberry (or maybe raspberry can't remember), dessert forget what it was called it was a choc chip cookie formed in a mound w/ choc inside
DS - Can't remember, he was so tired he fell asleep in the booth

It was late when we got here at 9:20 and it had been a long day at MK, so maybe that might skew this review a bit. But I was not impressed. Sorry for all of you that love it. The sticky wings were OK but O'hana's were better. DH liked his Asian Noodles but I tasted them and thought they were way too sweet. Now I must admit I went out on a limb trying the Mahi Mahi. I typically wouldn't order a fish dish like this, as they only way I like fish is deep fried. But after all the hype about the Mahi Mahi I had to try it. I just didn't care for it and the sticky rice was not very good. Again if you like this type of thing I'm sure it was fine but it just wasn't my cup of tea. The Daquri was wonderful though!! DH took his cheesecake back to the room, it was good. My dessert was terrible, it was very very dry.

Would we eat here again? I just don't know. Maybe it would have been better if we tried something different. For that reason we might try it again but it wouldn't be a must do.

SUNSHINE SEASONS
DH - Not exactly sure, but I think it was some sort of Deli Sandwich & chips, creme brulee
Me - Asian entree, noodles, chicken, rice, fruit torte
DS - Mini Sub & chips, cookie

I was so disapointed last time because we didn't get to eat here. Well, there really wasn't too much to be disappointed about. I will say that it was better than average as far as CS meals went. Our entrees were all OK. I do give the desserts an A+, great selection and they were all great! They had the standard desserts but then they also had desserts behind a case like a bakery....they were impressive!

Atmosphere: 1, we were sitting under an air conditioner vent and I was freezing (it would be a great place when the weather was hot but we were wearing jackets all day)
Would we eat there again? Maybe, only because of the desserts.

CORAL REEF
DH - NY Strip, potatoes and broc, Creme Brulee
Me - Shrimp Pasta, Choc Wave
DS - I think it was some sort of fish and fries, Lobster Soup, ice cream

Let me just start by saying that our service was spectacular here. Our waitress was very attentive, refilled our drinks and was prompt with the service. DH steak looked and tasted wonderful!!! The serving size of my DH potatoes were small, so much so he said the few bites he had served as a teaser so he asked for more (I must admit that was a bit embarrasing!) The waitress brought some more out immediately. I was fulling expecting to pay for them, but she didn't charge us. As far as the Shrimp Pasta goes, it was just OK. I'm one that typically cleans my plate but just couldn't do it here. I was not impressed and I usually love Shrimp Pasta. DS liked his. When they brought out his drink it had a dolphin on the rim, so that was a nice touch. DS had refused his appetizer choice so I lovingly said "I think you should try the Lobster Soup!" Knowing full well he'd never eat it, I got to partake!! It was wonderful and creamy, I loved it!! DH Creme Brulee was wonderful, the Choc Wave did not stand up to the hype....it was just OK. It would have been better with ice cream (yes, I had to steal some of my DS!). The atmosphere here was top notch. My DS loves fish so we just had to go here. We were on the top tier and I have to say that was a bit disappointing. Probably not a bad seat in the house but some are definetly better than others. I think we were just too far away. I would have much prefered the middle tier or the one on the floor. I know I've heard people complain that seating right next to the aquarium because it's too close, but I think we would have enjoyed that seating much better.

Atmosphere: 9, would have been a 10 if we had a better seat
Would we eat here again? Yes, we'd try it again but I would probably get the steak!

PIZZAFARI

Way off topic here but I just have to say the we got to walk right onto Expedition Everest not just 1 time but 3 times!!! I was so excited!! OK back to the review! As far as counter service goes this was a pretty good one! DH sandwich was good, but he wished he would have gotten the Italian Sandwich like me! My sandwich was wonderful! It was a very big portion....I gave some to DH since he liked mine better. The apple pie was decent, better than some of the other counter service desserts. DS pizza was good.

Would we eat there again? Yes!

TUTTO ITALIA
DH - Speghetti & Meatballs, I can't remember dessert
Me - Tortelloni alla Panna Tartufata (Veal Ravioli w/ cream sauce), Cannoli
DS - Speghetti & Meatballs, Gelato

OUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITE RESTAURANT OF THE WHOLE TRIP!!! Ok, so the cat's out of the bag..... we loved this place!!! So much so we tried to get reservations for the next night!! And to think we almost didn't make it there. Our camera stopped working so we had to make a not so quick trip to Wal-Mart. It was a bad decision.....everyone that was headed to Disney that didn't have a camera was there looking for one. It was a disaster and we ended up leaving without anything! The Wal-Mart trip made us approx 30 min late for our reservation....It's a really long walk back to Italy. I was determined to get there so I left DH and DS behind and speed walked to the back of the park. DH ended up going to the wrong place, and waited there trying to find me. Finally he asked if I had already been seated and they told him they had no reservation for us. So by the time DH made it to the right place we were 45 min late. They were very accomodating and seated us within 5 min. So after all the drama we entered and were seated at a table. There was suitable privacy, unlike some other resaurants at Disney. We ate at Alfredo's 2 years ago and it did seem a bit more spacious this time. The service was wonderful and prompt! Everyone was very, very friendly. Like a family owned restaurant. DH speghetti and meatballs was good, although I think he would order differently if he had it to do all over again. Just because everything looked so good. I was a bit nervous about mine because I usually like to order something with a red sauce but some little voice inside me said "order the Tortelloni". When I ordered it the waiter said that was a great choice....one of the best on the menu. He was right it was fabulous!!!! I let DH have a very tiny taste and he also loved it!!! I can't even describe how good it was. It was creamy but not too heavy. All the portions were good sized! Yummy, my mouth is watering just thinking about it!! The cannoli was also good!! DH ended the meal with a coffee and I don't think they charged him for it.

Tutto Italia blew Alfredo's out of the water!!!! And I liked Alfredo's!

Would we eat there again: Do I even have to answer this? A define YES!!! This is the one restaurant on Disney property that I would consider paying Out of Pocket if not on the Dining Plan.

We're thinking of trying Tutto on our next trip, just concerned about when they'll be re-opening. So glad you enjoyed it so much!
