7 day western. Way out west.

WE just put a deposit on a 4 day Wonder for summer 2005. Always wanted to go on a seven day, can only go in summer. If the Magic goes to the west coast for summer 05, can I change my reservation from 4 - 7 day. Also I need some info on cost of a seven day western, Will the Cruise cost more being on the west Coast??? Do you think a land and sea package with Disney land will be available??? THANKS......

A lot of this is speculation, since there's been no definitive word where the Magic will be in summer 2005, but....

I believe that if you have an existing reservation, you can transfer your deposit to a new one. The new one will be booked at the going rate, but since you'd be transferring from a 4-day to a 7-day, there would be a price difference anyway. The deposit for a 4-day is $200/pp, while for a 7-day I think it's $250, so you'd have to add to the existing deposit when you change your reservation.

I would think that if the ship is positioned on the west coast, the cost of a cruise would be more than if it were continuing it's current Caribbean itineraries. The west coast cruise would be a novelty, and they'd be likely to sell very well, so the odds are that the pricing structure would be higher. My guess is that they would definitely have some type of land and sea deal with Disneyland, since the conventional wisdom is that the ship will be positioned on the west coast as part of Disneyland's 50th anniversary.

Gotta agree with you Lloyd, especially with the way most everyone on here is already ready to hall it on over to the WC for a cruise. Lots of demand, little supply (with only one DCL ship there) why not keep business way in the black.

Personally I'm thinking more back to back cruises, since everyone will be out west.
