7 day Western - May 7, 2005???

Welcome, Susie!
This is a real fun group. We're all excited about meeting each other. That is all of us, except the Grumpies. :rotfl2: Kind of a running joke that most of the DHs aren't too excited. Excluding Auercat and James, that is!
The time is closing in and that's a good thing. It's amazing how much you can get done in the final days.
Ok all of you obsessives...who has to make sure every piece of laundry is washed and put away and the house cleaned top to bottom before you leave? Please reassure me that I'm normal.
Just found out that DS13 gave all of his swimsuits to goodwill because they were "too short" meaning not below his knee! Thank goodness DS17 has some hand-me-downs. I absolutely refuse to go back to Walmart at this point.
Where are the teenagers??? DS17 has plans on starting poker games up in the stack. Can't you see it now...Disney Cruise Line Shut Down due to Illegal Gambling on Board. They may throw us off in Key West! Just kidding...he's really a good kid, you'll see. You'll know him by his Notre Dame shirts.
Now everybody breathe....
:wave2: Linda

Hi James,
Are you using Lisa's list to make the buttons? I never PMd you with our information because I just assumed you'd use her list. We'd be happy to help you out with the cost of your materials...by way of a cocktail or two, perhaps? Please don't say you can't drink because of your meds. That would be a total bummer. :sad1:
Looking forward to meeting you. You seem so laid back, so quiet, so reserved...NOT! :grouphug:
:wave2: Linda

Welcome Susie,
I'm glad to see another Floridan in our group. Love the name. :rotf The Florida resident is just to great to turn down. My best friend only booked because of rate too. I was booked but when the rate came out,I saved $800.You won't be sorry you booked with DCL.

Linda is right we are a fun group. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.I feel like we've all been friends for years. Wouldn't it be great if we met everyyear or so.
Linda you are normal. I'm OC when it comes to the packing and shopping but not the cleaning. That can wait until I come home and maybe then some. :rotfl: Teenagers, wouldn't it be nice if you could send them away until they outgrow those years. Just wait the grandchildren are the best.I don't even get to send mine home but I still really enjoy her.
Every body ready to have fun?

Well 8 more days and the fun starts!!!!!!! :hourglass :cool1: :hourglass

Debbie :wave2:

Debbie,
I'm assuming your GD lives with you. How lucky for you! I'm looking forward to little ones. Not too soon, however. My oldest is only 17. To be perfectly honest, DH and I haven't found the teen years to be so bad. DS17 is a joy. He's always been a great kid. Junior/Senior years were a bit trying but they go through so much. First prom, taking SATs, looking at colleges, hormonal surges. But it all worked out and he starts at the University of Notre Dame :shamrock: is August. DS13 is a completely different kid. Very lovable :love2: but very different. The hormones have affected him a bit more, he's more moody, :rolleyes2 I'm afraid. You get out of it what you put into it. From what I've heard though, girls can be a real handful during the teen years. We just count our blessings.
:wave2: Linda

Hi Susie - Glad you made it ;) I just told my DD Jessica about yours and she's excited to have so many kids her age. Hopefully Jessica, Emile & Marisa will hang out together :grouphug:

I had the pleasure of meeting some fellow DISers from my area tonight and it was great fun. I learned so much from these repeat cruisers and just can't wait to get onboard.

Linda,
She does live with me and I love every day of it. I was lucky too. My kids didn't get into alot either. The DD was a little harder. My son is very loving. He's a little far away but we talk alot. You must be so proud of your son making it into Notre Dame. That is such an accomplishment. Can't wait to meet everyone and see all the kids. We've all heard so much about them.I sure hope we get to meet more than once. James's idea for Brunch sounds good. We need to see who all wants to go.

Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Debbie :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Sounds like some of us want to have brunch but, I don't know about coordinating a large group as they will not make ressies before hand--Maybe at the terminal, prior to boarding if some of us recognize some of the group(I will be the one with the cane)we can get some ideas.. The DVC meet is at 1000 am on Sunday but otherwise OK fro 1130 or so.. Have a good evening all and I do mean ALL and Yo Ho Yo Ho maties pirate: James

Hi Linda :cool1:
If you will pm me with your names and ages I can make appropriate changes to the buttons as I haven't printed the latest names from this list except for the members who have already sent me thiers, otherrwise it will be a generic button.. :rotfl: Anyone who has not pm-ed me by this weekend will not have thier names on the buttons.. Yep grog is in my future as far as I am concerned.. :rotfl: James

Hi Momommouse :earsboy:
I am just across the bay you know.. Yeah I know we are the red headed stepchild of Tampa but, can't we all just get along--hehe :rotfl: DW and I will be driving up on Saturday as we stayed at Raddisson last time we cruised but, the price has really gone up in 2 years :earseek: I also will be 50 in 2months and we are celebrating our 25th anniversay..woohoo..See ya soon--James pirate:

James,
As far as I concerned your not the red-headed stepchild. St. Pete is my favorite place to be. Nothing beets the St. Pete beach. Except DCL.

When is your birthday? MouseManiacDeb's birthday is July 7th. She will also be 50. I guess 1955 was a good year. All us great people were born. :rotfl: I think Linda's 50th in is July too. We'll need to drink to the 50 crowd. :drinking1 This will be my 30th anniversary. Time flies when your having fun.
Happy Anniversary to You!!!!!!!!!

SEVEN DAYS TODAY!!!!!

My family thinks I'm nuts but I, too, clean and do laundry before vacations cause I can't stand the thought of coming home and having to do it!
I would not relax on the vaca. :wizard:

I do all the cleaning and all the laundry but my DD stays home. So I don't know how it will look when I get home. You are right it stinks to come home to laundry plus the vacation laundry. But I've learned to not worry about it. We're all going to have fun if we do every thing before or after. It's cruise time! :boat: :dancer: :hourglass

Let's party!!!!!! :cool1:  :cool1:
Debbie

I'm another one that likes to have the house cleaned when I go on vacation. I figure I'll be spending awhole day doing laundry when I get home, the last thing I want to do is have to clean too.

James - I'll see if I can find a California quarter for you also. I know I've seen them around here.

Harris - I'm only 38 and I'm the same way. I'm thinking once I hit 50, I'll have post-it notes all over my body

Congrats Tera On The 50lbs!! :goodvibes :Pinkbounc
you are doing so well, i have finally made it to 45lbs loss
waiting till next week to try on formal dress- it was fitting last month rather snug so hopefully by now it won't look like its painted on me :sad2:

Tera & Bratray,
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!! You are both doing so good. You deserve a big drink when we get there and a toast. I'm going to join you all on the journals after the cruise. I really need to lose alot of weight. I'll be begging both of you for help then.
