About to buy my DLR tickets online and they only offer up to a 6-day Parkhopper. I think we will wind up going to the parks 7 days. Once I have started using the pass, can I add a 7th day if I need it? (As opposed to purchasing an expensive one day pass.) Thanks! :)

I'm not sure if you are able to add a 7th day but it may be cheaper to get an annual pass than to buy a single day. Which is probably Disney's reason for not offering a 7 day pass.

Nope unless you live outside the US you can not have higher than 6 days on your pass ~ you'll need to upgrade to an AP, or buy a 1 day ticket. I'm sure 6 days will be plenty though ~ perhaps you can take a break from the parks mid way through your visit.

Not to hyjack the thread but does anyone know why you can't buy more days if you live in the US? I just don't understand - we are Canadian and our 1st trip we had 8 day hoppers from BCAA.

Disneyland suddenly stopped selling 7/8-day park hoppers early last year or '08 (I forget exactly when). I suspect the reason is because people were buying 7/8-day passes (same price for both) and then selling off days on eBay, etc., making a profit off of them. Enough of this was going on that Disney capped the hoppers at 6-days, and then said that guests could upgrade to APs if they want to go more days.

Looking at your signature, I wonder if it is possible (or likely?) that you will be visiting DLR a second time in less than a year's time? If that's likely--or if you think it's a good idea and can make it work--then upgrading your hopper to a Deluxe AP (after Magic Morning/any blockout dates) generally makes financial sense. You also get 10% discounts on food.

The only bad thing I've found is that it makes you go to Disneyland more often. We went in June and December and now we're going back one more time in June! If we didn't have APs there's a much better chance I would have planned to do something else this summer.

If you definitely do not want an AP, I think you could spend a good day resting at your hotel, visiting Downtown Disney, and perhaps going to Goofy's Kitchen for some extra Disney fun. (I only had 2 days in WDW last year and then Day 3 we spent several hours at Downtown Disney and I feel like I got a pretty darned good experience there.)

Have a great trip!
