I have read posts from Austrialian and Canadaian posters who purchawe through flightcentre and others (expedia??) and are able to get 7, 8 even 14 day hopper passes. We want 7 days, but do not want to pay the price of an annual pass. Have any American purchased through any of these sights and been able to get the more than 6 day hopper available in the US?
Thanks

Unlike WDW, you can pretty much see everything in DL and DCA in six days or less. We have been probably 25 times and each trip is anywhere from 2 days to a week. When we go for a week, we get the Southern California Pass, which includes 5 days at Disney, one day at Universal Studios and One day at Knotts. They have several options to choose from. Even a first time visitor will have enough time in 6 days to do it all.

I am one of the aussies that bought a 14 day vacation pass. As far as I am aware these are only available to Australians and New Zealanders. I think maybe the UK have their own version of it too.

I think this is available to us because they figure that with the distance we have to travel we would want to spend more time in the parks.

I have to disagree with csag though. We spent 9 days in the parks (not all of them entire days, from morning till night) and we still did not see all there was to see. We could definately have used the entire 14 days but unfortunately had other plans for the rest of the days. IMHO it would be very easy to use the entire 14 days and still not be bored. If we are blessed enough to go again we will be there for 14 days for sure :thumbsup2

The last time I got a City Pass in 2008 there were only 3 days at DLR. Did this change?

Flightcentre Canada, offers 7 and 8 day parkhoppers that Americans can buy. The prices are in Canadian dollars.

I can't get the 8 day ticket to work - it just goes to a screen to book hotel, but when I try to purchase a 7 day ticket, it brings up a screen that includes the following:
Memo: CANADIAN RESIDENT ONLY TICKETS.

I'd love to be able to find a 7 day ticket that I can use (as a non-Canadian - American), but I'm not comfortable with this!

I don't know about a Southern California Pass, but the Southern California City Pass offers 3 days at Disneyland, a day at Universal Studios, Sea World, and San Diego Zoo or Wild Animal Park. A few years ago Knotts was offered, but that is no longer on the card.

Right, this is the issue I have too. I had not acutally seen the memo part before. So, am I out of luck? It does not sound like any American has had luck purchasing/using hoppers from Canada or Australia.

Oh and PS, we have a few months before our trip, so dont be surprised if you see me ask this question again as we get closer to our dates, just in case some how something magical happens and there is someway of legally/ethically purchasing and using these tickets.

thanks everyone

I tried last week and they no longer allow Americans to buy thriugh them. This is recent change. And they no longer sell 8-day park hoppers, I was told they just have not updated their website.

Apparently there was a lot of fraud going on. They still over them Candians asn Australians.

The flight centre ones currently sold online are so far only valid until the first couple of days into Jan 2010... I hope they offer 7 day passes again for March dates as we will desperately be wanting to buy one - our family has annual passes for the first time, since we did the upgrade last time knowing we'd take one more trip before the year was up, but we will need to buy a 7 day park hopper for our son's friend, who we're taking with us. We're lucky we live in Canada to be able to purchase the tickets through flight centre, but only time will tell if they will still offer the 7 or 8 day passes, and yes, it's true, although the 8 day pass is listed, you can not purchase the 8 day ticket online, only the 7 day ticket is available.

Thanks for letting me know. I'm in the middle of planning my July 2010 trip and wasn't sure if we are going to do the City Pass again or just buy park hoppers. I "lost" this thread and couldn't find it for a bit. I really need to start subscribing to threads.
