7 AM Extra Magic Hours? We're in!...NEW 12/27 p. 31

That was nice how you got a merchandise credit for your snack mix. Gotta love that Disney customer service!

It's been several years since I watched the acrobats in China, but they are amazing!

This acrobat show was different than, but just as entertaining as, the one I had seen on a previous visit.

Because I have had so many visits to WDW in the last two years, I have tried to see more of the entertainment in the World Showcase. Those little shows are all short (about 15 minutes) but they do add to the atmosphere of the World Showcase.

The thing with the bag of snacks was funny, and a little embarrassing. I remembered that I had forgotten the bag about 5 seconds after I got off the bus, but the bus was already pulling away. I probably dozed off for a few seconds on the bus ride and the bag dropped out of my hand.

Because it was such a small thing, I would have just written it off if the lady hadn't said something about lost and found. Becuase we had just gotten off the bus, I thought it would be easy for the bus expediter to contact the driver and drop the bag off at the Boardwalk on the next loop. Once I realized it wasn't going to be that simple I was just going to forget it, but they gave me the credit anyway. That was a nice touch.

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!!

Thought I would give everyone a little Bay Lake Tower update. In one week we will be at the 7-month window for next spring break. As I mentioned in my last update, my hope is that I'll be able to complete my DVC rounds and stay at BLT. Well, the other night I posted on the DVC facebook page and someone who has BLT as their home resort was able to check on the website for availability. They said there were no standard view studios available but they did still have lake and theme park view studios (even though it's more points, I would LOVE to get the theme park view...I figure I won't get too many chances to stay at BLT so when I do might as well go for a nice view, right?!). I asked again today and it's still showing they have those 2 types of studios. So now I just have to hope it stays that way until next Saturday!! I'll be sure to post another update next week once we figure out what's going on. But so far I'm glad to hear they still have some studios.

Hope everybody has a good weekend...I'll reply to comments and hopefully post another TR update tomorrow! :)

So nice that they gave your dad a merchandise credit to replace the snack mix! I lost a bag of merchandise last trip, I either left it next to a bench in DTD or on the bus. It was actually a day or two before I realized that it was missing. I checked with lost & found and guest services in DTD but it was never turned in :sad1:

Your pictures from the Chinese acrobat show are great! It's changed in the last couple of years hasn't it? The one I saw a few years ago was all kids. I need to check it out again!

Yeah, it was nice considering that bag of snack mix couldn't have been more than a couple dollars. Oh no, that stinks about losing your bag. :(

Ahhh, I remember that Boardwalk view! I'd love to have that view right now, myself!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for your Bay Lake Tower stay - you'll love it!

I'm not a big fan of the new DVC logo either, but I do like that baseball cap! I went to a Members event while we were on the Dream in May, but the caps we got there are not the same. I think they're white, but I'd have to check to be sure. I know they have the new logo though. The other with the mountains and Mickey-sun was cuter!

Me too, isn't it amazing? :lovestruc

Thank you...only 6 days until we can book!

I agree, the hat is nice but the logo overall isn't as cute as the one with the mountains.

Great update. Love all the F & G decorations. Some of them I didn't see when I was there.

The BW lobby is beautiful. I'm quickly realizing I need to try them all.

haha, yes you do! As much as I enjoy having Saratoga Springs as our home resort, it has been so much fun staying at all the other DVC resorts. Can't believe I've been to nearly all of them!

I can't get over how pretty the Boardwalk is, I want to stay there so bad! I love looking at pictures of it (:

The Chinese acrobats look so cool, I've never seen them before!

I love looking at pictures of all the different resorts too. Hopefully you'll get to stay there some day. The Boardwalk is amazing!

The show was great-you should try to see that sometime.

The Boardwalk is incredible! It's really been high on my list lately! (But I won't lie... basically all of the resorts are.)

The Chinese acrobats look cool! I had no idea they had a show with a dragon, it looks like fun!

It's a small world!!! The song doesn't lie! That's too weird that you saw someone you actually knew!

Now... GET ON WITH KTTK!!!! :lmao:

haha, I know what you mean! I really think having that BW view though made the stay all the more exciting.

It was so crazy running into the teacher and her family!

Ooo! I hope you're able to get BLT. I absolutely *loved* it!!

I hope I can get BLT too. I am getting so anxious about booking-I just want to know if we'll be able to get it or not.

Your Boardwalk pics are so beautiful, I absolutely need to stay there someday! I've been so obsessed with BLT/Contemporary lately that I've been neglecting my other dream resorts, like the Poly and the Boardwalk! :rotfl:

I love Via Napoli everything is always so good there!

OMG I can't believe you ran into one of your co-workers! Small world! :cool1:

haha, that's why you need to do a new resort each trip so you can chip away at all of them! ;)

It definitely was a small world. And the funny thing is they weren't even staying on Disney property so the fact that they were strolling around the Boardwalk that night made it even stranger. LOL.

That was nice how you got a merchandise credit for your snack mix. Gotta love that Disney customer service!

Yup, I know some people complain that Disney's service isn't as good as it used to be but they still know how to make guests happy.

Love all the pictures of the Boardwalk!! So pretty!:goodvibes

Too funny on the Chewbacca joke!:rotfl:

Aww...the Lady and the Tramp topiaries are my favorite!:lovestruc

So cool that you saw someone you knew!! I guess it is a small world!:thumbsup2

It is so pretty-I've said it before but the whole Epcot resort area is just so scenic. I loved being able to stay in the middle of it all. :thumbsup2

haha, I know! I was cracking up at that one.

The Lady and the Tramp display is so cool. I love how they do Lady's ears.

BAHHHHHH I hope you get it! It is THE BEST. :) Fingers crossed for you!!!

Fingers crossed! :)

Absolutely go for the great view! Really hope you get it, I wanna see your pictures ;)

Thanks everyone! As much as I would kill for a theme park view, I think I may have to settle for a lake view. I think it's going to come down to getting a theme park view or staying an extra night. Leaning towards the extra night. But of course it might not matter if we get to next weekend and they aren't available. AHH the wait is going to drive me nuts!!!

I can't wait to see the Boardwalk! We have planned time there now!

I really wanted to eat at Napali this time, but got veto'd. Next time! I keep hearing good things!

Good Luck on the BLT! I hope you get it!:wizard:

Yay!! You will really enjoy the Boardwalk. Are you going to go in the evening? It's a lot more exciting later in the day.

Aww, really? I think you should still go there. It's really good.

Thank you! Only a few more days! :)

I can basically promise you that any view you get at BLT would be amazing! A pool view or lake view would be wonderful too!

Yes, and if I really want a theme park view, I can always do that another trip (once our DVC points aren't spread so thin, LOL). :thumbsup2

We were at Epcot on Wednesday. We left to go back to our hotel for our Welcome Dinner and left early to go back to Epcot to watch Illuminations. We sat on the wall in front of the church at Norway. The park was so crowded that evening. I told my dh to sit and wait while the crowd thinned, but after 20 more minutes we just joined in and left.

We were in the Dells this weekend and I heard a funny story how the owner of Mount Olympus (it used to be Family Land) is buying up everything in WI DELLS and he thinks he is creating his own Disney World.:rotfl2: Almost every hotel where Noah's Ark is, is now owned by Mount Olympus.

I hope to do a lot of catching up this week on the boards. Hurt my ankle and I am suppose to be off work for the week. I had to come in today to get the church bulletin done, then hello couch all week.

Thursday, April 12, 2012...More 7 AM Extra Magic Hours!

OK everyone, so even though we are nearing the end of this trip (2 more days to go), I am excited to FINALLY be posting about this day-our Keys to the Kingdom tour day! YAY! Dad and I were scheduled for the 9:30 am tour. We could have slept in and headed to the Magic Kingdom a little bit later but nope! We were ready to go for those 7 am EMH again (our 3rd time of the trip) to do a few more attractions before the start of the tour. :)

We arrived in time to see the opening show again. I’m telling you, this never gets old (as a lot of you know already anyway!)!

100_8597.jpg

Good morning, good morning!

Good morning, Magic Kingdom!

Once we were in the park we went right toward Tomorrowland for another ride on Space Mountain an Buzz Lightyear. What do you think of our ride photo? Haha

100_8606.jpg

I scored alright on Buzz Lightyear-definitely not my best.
100_8607.jpg

Since there weren’t very many people in the park yet, we did Astro Orbiter next. There were only a couple other people there so Dad and I got to ride in our own rockets (which was pretty nice because those rockets make for a tight fit with two adults riding). Here’s the view from the platform:

100_8610.jpg

From there we headed toward Fantasyland.
100_8611.jpg

We rode the carousel, and it was right around that time when we heard the music signaling the park opening for non-resort guests.

100_8612.jpg

Does it make anyone else sad seeing Snow White's Scary Adventures in the background of this picture? I still can't believe they closed it so early.

Next up was it’s a small world.
100_8613.jpg

100_8614.jpg

And the time when we got off-this clock is so cute!
100_8615.jpg

Then we made a quick stop in Frontierland. Donald was out again so we stopped for another picture since we lost our first photopass card from when we met Donald on Easter Sunday). Of course I had to do my “Donald’s #1!” pose.

100_8616.jpg

After one more ride on Splash Mountain, we walked back toward Main Street USA. Part of the tour includes lunch at the Columbia Harbor House but since we’d been up early we wanted to get a little something to hold us over until lunch. So we stopped in the bakery. It was actually pretty crowded-the line was out the door when we got there. I guess a lot of people like to make that their first stop of the morning (don’t they know they’re missing out on short wait times?!) When we finished our bakery treats it was time to go check in for the tour!!!

I just don't see how you could NOT take advantage of those EMH! So so awesome.

HAHA your dad in the Space Mountain photo. Too funny! Yall got so much done, that's awesome! :woohoo:

You really did get a lot of attractions done prior to your tour. I agree with you regarding breakfast, why wait in line for food when there are short lines for rides? Looking forward to your tour report.

I think we'd make great EMH touring partners! I'd would have gotten up and gone early too. Take advantage while you can!

I really need my pic w/ Frontier Donald! He always seems to have such a long line when we see him, or he is leaving, and we are on our way to something.

I can't wait o hear about the tour. Were you able to take pictures?

Great Space Mountain pic :thumbsup2 I think I've been on Astro Orbiter once in all my trips. That tight squeeze just doesn't appeal! Looking forward to the tour!

I would be right there with you for those 7 am EMHs, you guys were able to get so much done!

I guess Disney finally decided to take away the option for the redneck ride photos on Space Mtn by slapping those words right across your face, lol!

Finally back to get caught up!

I wonder if they do that at Maelstrom because they just don't want anyone getting out of the boats? Who knows. Good thing you didn't get evacuated though. Although I'm a weirdo and would want that to happen. Because I want to be in an area that I'm normally not allowed.

Ugh, Karamel Kuche pictures. To die for!

T-Rex has been on my list too. I'm thinking for our trip next summer with the kids. The boys would probably freak out.

That's a pretty awesome Vinyl! I love them too. I can't go into D-Street without buying too many.

I love that statement "I don't know what it is about those Dolphin people..." You can totally apply that to so many people.

Wow, you know it's early when they aren't even running the Safari yet.

Awesome, visiting Boston! The East Coast is virtually untouched territory for me.

I'm in love with that tiny turtle!

Flights of Wonder is awesome. I haven't seen that show in years.

I always bring my Dad back the Chip and Dale pretzels. He's somehow convinced that since they're from Disney, they taste better.....

That's awesome that they gave your Dad the credit to get the snack mix. That's service for sure.

That's awesome that it's dark and you're watching the Welcome show at the Magic Kingdom.
