There will be 7-8 of us needing transportation to and from the airport and are trying to figure out the cheapest way to do this-- we dont want to rent a car--would we be better off just getting in cabs or is there a solution that can take all of us?

If you have a party of 3 or more, limo service is often a better deal than taking a shuttle -- and much faster and more comfortable! The driver meets you at baggage claim, assists you with your luggage, and takes you straight to your hotel. It really gets your vacation off to a great start. Towncar service (capacity 4 adults) from Orlando airport to Disney World area hotels will cost you about $75-$90 round trip plus tip. It's about twice that for a stretch limo, which can handle up to 8 adults and 2 kids. A private van, which can carry up to 10 adults, costs around $100-$105 round trip plus tip.

Check with Yourride. We used them twice for our family of six and they had a van that more than accomodated us. I think last year we paid $85.00 round trip, and service was excellent. www.yourride.net

Most of the limo companies have vans that will hold 9-10 people plus baggage. We used Tiffany van and had 6 adults and 2 kids, and lots of bags, with a grocery stop.
